Up until Role Queue I was playing every single day, since the Beta (I’ve said this countless times by now). When Role Queue came out, the long DPS queue times (about 15-20 minutes per queue) have left me unable to play my favorite heroes without waiting a ridiculous amount of time. I play other classes, but I don’t get the same joy out of it, and I don’t like being restricted.
So I played less often, and went over to my secondary game, Dead by Daylight, to play primarily. It breaks my heart to do this, I love Overwatch more than anything.
Here we are today, the queue times for DBD have become just as long as the Overwatch queue times, so I give up, I eat the 20 minute queues and I’m back to Overwatch!
Don’t tell me to swap off Widow,
Coolbreeze
I still play off and on, though it’s been a long off streak lately. Like, yea, I’ve taken breaks before from burnout, but this time the meta makes the game really slow and boring, and role queue pretty much guarantees you get the same thing every game, so it’s just gotten stale. What little I do play is just because I almost feel I need to because I don’t want to miss out on Brick Bastion or season placements (which I still need to finish)
Not to mention, Code Vein just came out, so I’ve been spending what little free time I have on that.
This is a newer account, but yes. I’ve been playing since a few weeks after launch.
Played since open beta.
The reason i bought this game is because of the fast pace it had.
The patches has made this game slower and slower and im losing interest.
If it wasnt for my friends, I wouldnt be playing anymore.
Still here and playing and I know a lot of others still playing, we aren’t exactly unicorns.
I’ve gone off and on with Overwatch. I take month long breaks from the game when it starts to annoy me, and I don’t play it every single day, but I play it every week. Any game, whether it’s amazing or not, will start to give you burnout if you play it constantly.
Played since the beta. I do not play this game anymore unless an event is going on. The Devs have neglected this game so much and they have lost connection with the core fan base. I was a die hard OW fan. Bought the statues, Funkos, loot boxes etc. But i refuse to spend another cent until they stop neglecting the game.
I love this game and have never left.
I have tried the Battle Royales but they just do not do it for me.
I’ve played since the beta. I routinely take months-long breaks from the game but I still return for a time. I play much less than I used to but that’s to be expected. I just wish there were more lore and content for the game, and less focus on OWL.
Still around and grinding out the border levels.
Game has become unbalanced for me to enjoy and the inconsistant and pointless nerfing for some heroes.
Yes. Day one beta player here. Still in it because the game was great once and could be again, if the devs get completely replaced and things get changed drastically.
I think the game still has a lot of launch players but we see bronze borders everywhere being at some point you almost have to run an ult in comp.
Like can I really roll this level 1900+ mostly tank account back into comp at my default 3k+ range with out catching community crud? Either due to hours on tank or plat border in diamond SR or level 5 endorsement or just playing mostly QP or the bizarre idea of only S2 rank stills matters or or
I’d rather just by a new account and not deal with it
Played since launch, Im currently level 2551
I’ve been playing since open beta, and am currently level 2554. I foresee myself continuing for quite some time.

Bought the game two times for myself and once for a friend.
The game ain’t as enjoyable as it was for the first two seasons, but I’m still playing it – just not as much as I used to.
Looking forwards to the PTR changes going live as the current meta is (imo) the worst one I’ve had to deal with so far.
Playing since open beta. Quit last year because they deleted my main. Went back on friends requests, but cut down my time on OW significantly and only played when they invited me to a game.
I have a large stash of funko toys, bought both season pass for OWL, and got 50 boxes in four separate occasions.
Currently I’m on my second break since the implementation of role queue, waiting for either QPC allowing we getting achievements, role queue removal (improbable), or halloween because I want to clear my last missing Junkenstein achievements.
Not really seeing myself playing this game next year (and thus, also not interested in OWL anymore).
That’s because you play “the way it’s meant to be played” and not the real way most people play. Unfortunate their balance has always been so tunnel visioned on your way of playing, when like 99% of the player base has at least a few favourite heroes or even one they spend all their time on, and so unreasonable and over the top hammer nerfs ruin the game entirely for months at a time for them. Switching to 2/2/2 without undoing the GOATS nerfs has ruined more non-meta heroes and made them more unplayable than ever before. No meta has ever made it so mandatory to play a specific set of tanks and so close to impossible to play anything else before. You wouldn’t notice this if you always play meta. It’s fine for heroes to be disfavoured by specific metas, but it’s really not fine to not be able to work twice as hard and win against unfavourable matchups. PTR changes may help, we’ll see.
Launch person here. I still play but only FFA; I don’t play the regular game anymore.
METAs always open me up to go out of my confort zone and learn new heroes. Don’t see anything bad with it. I also used to have favourite heroes. Tracer was my pick to hit my 4300 peak. Was sad when she got nerfed but it opened me up to play other characters.
