I think MM is just crazy by the way he is pairing soloQ players against 5 stack teams and a incredible and unstopable wave of cheaters.
What do you just think here?

I think the matchmaker quality depends on the region and the game mode you’re playing. Quickplay is generally the worst and you shouldn’t expect any quality matches from it.
Ranked is generally a lot better consistently but some seasons (I recall it was S3?) was just terrible for even ranked. This season and several other seasons prior, I haven’t had much issue with ranked personally.
I only mostly have issue with DPS in ranked. I seem to almost always come across smurfs in silver lobbies and it just makes the game feel unfair.
Tank, I feel like I have a lot of carry potential. But the role feels too punishing to the point where it’s no longer fun anymore, at least compared to OW1.
Support has always been good, and even when it was at its worst, decent in ranked.

Why do you think they hide stacks, and claim role queue caused it… I frown stacks when solo i wish they would show paired people was nice to know who would have who’s back when engaging

Use comms more. Remove their advantage.
I already communicate but there is no deal in low elos, and offtenly toxic beihavours.
Matchmaking is very non-existent. There is so low playerbase, game is almost dead.
I also playing since couple months with 2 noob friends, both bronze, I reached with this new account only gold, to be possible playing with them, and we got rest team mates also bronzes against full golds. Every time!!! I think closest matchmaking was Bronze 1 vs Gold 3 or so.
And I allways ask: Bronze+Gold wouldnt be better against full Silver team??? We had never ever silver against

, and you know what happens in low leagues. You cannt outheal when they dont kill anybody.

The matchmaking is actually quite amazing considering the circumstances. People are just blaming the matchmaking when in reality the problem is that players are not performing to the standard of their MMR. The system cannot account for that. It’s truly that simple.
One thing is to not perform (which it can happen to anyone).
Other is getting full of stomping games and a few balanced ones. I don’t think is “just people underperforming”
Pairing a solo-q team to a party of 5, even if they got the same MMR, the team has a tremendous advantage and it’s completely unfair, just for the point that the team knows already how to play with themselves, and you cannot understand that good to 4 random guys. This way the 5 stack team bronze team sure can win 5 random golds or even plat if they’re playing well.
Love the match maker flame and theories.
Just a heads up, this only happens in very very extreme circumstances. When the 5 stack has been queueing for an exceptionally long time.
Oh, yeah. Stacking is just abusing the system, more or less. What can the matchmaking do about that? They are going to win a lot of games they shouldn’t be winning until the game puts them against players they do not stand a chance against. There is nothing you can do about it, really. I feel the game should be solo/duo only as most competitive games are. But whatever, Overwatch is a party game and friends have more fun stomping and being stomped together.
Playing with friends is abusing the system. That certainly is a take lol.
The game matches like for like on stacks, and they are strengthening that next season.
IF and it’s a big if, you get matched against a bigger stack because queues got long… You can’t possibly know if it’s a 5, a 4, 2 duos, a 3&2. So why worry about it. Just try to beat the challenge put infront of you.
That’s the whole point isn’t it. Improving your skills and ability to adapt on the fly. Why do you want that to be neutered. Do you want the game to be easier, surely that would make ranks even more meaningless than they already are.

We have been complaining about MM since ages and they just ignore us.
I do not enjoy consistently fighting a 3v1 just because I am the only person on my team with sentience. Why do you think I would enjoy that? Would you enjoy that? Give me a break.
Fair enough, actually. Some of the only genuinely challenging games are against stacks and I am getting bored of this easy mode nonsense. Maybe you are onto something…

Just reviving my chilhood in a similar game where i was top player on spain. Hope one day i can truly revive that. I love this kind of shooters which they are not just aim.

No game can do anything about that.
If a player decides to play while drunk, tired, ill, distracted, upset, tilted, or just actively choosing to be a bit of a plank… There is nothing anyone else can do. Sadly.
