Anticheat in FPS?

Isnt Warzone F2P as well?

The bigger problem other than spoofing is hardware resale and tainting the refurbished/preowned market. If a GPU has it’s ID blacklisted in a game and the cheater then later sells that GPU to someone, there’s no way to know if it’s blacklisted in any specific games. This is true even for operating system IDs and unique computer-wide identifiers devices from hardware combinations because the PC itself can be resold. This may not be super common for prebuilt desktops, but laptops and other gaming devices such as steam decks will absolutely have a large preowned market.

Basically anyone buying preowned hardware would be unable to know what, if any, games are banned on that hardware and would cause a huge issue.

Hardware and IP bans and the like work great for things like time limited server bans of individual privately moderated servers, but are not realistically plausible to broadly ban at the scale of a game, or even entire company.

Anti-cheat exists to give players a false sense of security, not stop cheaters. It can only detect cheats it knows how to detect…

No idea, i don’t play COD
