Unfortunately not. Last time I actually had fun was in the PvE modes during anniversary.
It’s been since the summer games that I played the game now and even then I only played the bare minimum to get the weekly sprays (not even the skins, only the sprays. I like them for some reason). Before that I often got the urge to play… only to be reminded less than hour into playing why I’m not having fun (It also doesn’t help that all my friends stopped playing over a year ago).
Sorry, but having 90% of your games being a stomp either way where you have the impression that you have no impact whatsoever is not fun to me. Hell, even Mystery Heroes became predictable af with games generally being decided by whichever teams gets most supports over the course of the match. Worst of all, the more I think about it, the more I have the impression that this game didn’t really get new problems. All problems were already here from the beginning. They just only got worse over time. This game is fundamentally flawed at its core. And don’t get me even started about how this game changed from a casual, friendly shooter game to a gritty ultra-competitive team game (notice how I’m not even using the word ‘shooter’ anymore).
I’ll come back with Halloween to check out the new cosmetics and play some Junkenstein’s revenge, but otherwise I’m staying away from this mess.
I really hope that this rumored Overwatch 2 will be a PvE game. At least Blizzard knows how to not mess up those (mostly).
