Hey, I’ve been experiencing this connection problem in one too many competitive games and I don’t know if it’s a problem with my connection to the Overwatch servers, my system, Ethernet cable, or otherwise.
Every now and then, I would be immediately disconnected from a game and then automatically put back in. Then after about 30 seconds, I would be disconnected and sent back to the login prompt. I am able to reconnect to the game after signing in, but it’s still super annoying. I’m not sure if this happens with wifi, but I’ve had other wifi connection problems that I know is unrelated to Overwatch.
Is there a helpful process by which I could diagnose and fix the problem? I tried all of the fixes under Blizzard Support - Overwatch 2 Disconnection Problems and nothing has changed.

To help us pinpoint where the problem may be happening, let’s get a MTR test while playing. To do this, download WinMTR and type the server IP in the “Host” field. Click start, then play for about 20 minutes after you get issues, then click on “Copy text to clipboard” and paste the results here.

Your results don’t show an immediate problem, but the test was only 5 seconds long. Please run it for 5-10 minutes and post new results.
My bad. Completely misinterpreted the instructions. Here is a better report.
Forgot to mention that during this test, I got immediately disconnected multiple times, which is different from my problem before. However, I did start this test after I logged back in.

These early losses are really high, but there actually seems to be a problem happening at the Ashburn hop that is also affecting my friends. It’s worth opening a ticket about this, and/or talking to BlizzardCS on Twitter.
