Ana makes this game unbearable as a tank

You have to understand that for most of these people standing directly behind their teams tank so they can’t see anything and holding M1 is the “fun” way to play and to take that away from them is trying to make supports simply DPS lite.

SO TRUE feel like nobody points this out when talking about either of them

sleep is a problem for 5v5 its way to strong

Obviously skill/reflex matter as they always do in FPS shooters. I wont continue trying to help you deal with her since you’re already convinced that it has to be the hero and in no way your gameplay skills.

I don’t see how that’s not threatening, 50% less healing makes Zen heal like Lucio, makes Mercy heal like Zen, etc.

Freaking Lucio and Brig would heal less than the payload

New players when they find out counter heroes exist :scream:

Except when they make a character to specifically counter one other character, it’s clear that there might be a balance issue that adding a single character won’t solve.

Honestly, they should make Kiriko part of the free hero and not a cash grab from new players. Her kit is so important in the support options when it comes to cleansing.

I’m quite curious on the next two support hero. I hope one of them are a hitscan so I can combat Pharah when Baptise is already being use by the other support player.

Removing hard counters has been a stated goal far before OW2 existed. There is no single swap and fix solution in the game anymore.

Furthermore, the roster is simply too small to really be playing with things like this.

Old players not realizing that balancing the game this way doesn’t work :scream:

We’ve seen this before Brigitte was this, tracer was too strong they made a counter who was stronger
(There’s a reason she could 1shot tracer, gave armor had a shield literally everything that counters her)

Ana and brig power levels are way too high and sure they counter each other but then you are required to have them to do that

Mf you bring up skill and reflex but decide to conveniently ignore the entire rest of my reply where I tell you how sleep dart don’t got jack all to do with skill or reflex.

crazy.

Wow you are ignorant.

No it’s more like “Babydoll when they cannot figure out why designing an entire hero with the sole purpose of being a counter to another hero instead of just nerfing said hero, is a dumb and awful idea that just leads to a broken mess”

It’s amazing how you can’t think outside of the box. All-or-nothing balance philosophies are garbage and need to be thrown out the window.

Tanks are five times easier to hit than squishies so of course Ana’s are going to throw sleep darts at them during most circumstances while they are busy fighting other enemies in the front line. Ez fix: Simply make it so sleep dart only leaves half the sleep duration on tanks and make tanks immune to sleep dart past 20 meters (hog hook distance). That way Ana can still use it to defend herself. Wow so hard to balance…

Meanwhile Ana’s nade getting Damage+Heal+AntiHeal+HealBonus+RangedAoE all in one is just stupid design. It makes zero sense whatsover that a support with such high healing output got anti-healing on their base kit at all.

Ana has two. Both incredibly high impact. So what’s your point???

You still have nade to fall back on and you could actually try out-dueling your opponent if they aren’t a tank. Or get help from a teammate. Like with literally every other player in the match. I swear you are really blowing out of proportion how vulnerable Ana is.

Bad players always have trouble with Ana.

Support players have trouble with the game in general.

Bad players seem to have even more trouble when playing supports when they’re ez abilities are on cooldown it seems

That’s the view that pretty much everyone shared. That Brig was created specifically to counter Tracer, and on paper it made sense.

Practically it didnt work like that at all. Brig could counter Tracer sure. If that Tracer was trash and didn’t utilize their mobility to avoid her stuns and such. She could burst heal incredibly for Tracers targets, sure. But that didn’t happen. Early days you could armor pack your teams tracer and they could delete back lines with no fear due to the range and power of repair packs.

Brig walled into the field like a god and took down tanks with impunity and disgust. She was an overloaded monster of a hero on another level and the rest of the roster suffered more than Tracer did.

And still people on this forum defended her. Cuz most people on this forum can’t perceive the game outside of their “main.”

I dont think Ana is at Brigitte game breaking level lets be real now. Her damage was just buffed for maybe a few weeks to aid in particular Hog behavior. She will most likely be nerfed in damage at a later date. Its just funny how the other roles really want supports to have no good utilities and cry and that mere inconvenience that they have been slept for a few seconds.

Personally have never found any issues in dealing with an Ana to point of unplayability.

Wow, you put that beautifully. Cudos could not have said it better myself.

ana is a very good hero design. the problem is the team balance. THEY DONT understand how opressive this hero is with those cooldowns and hability duration effects.

because we all know that they dont play ow.

There is good utility, and there are “do everything” abilities that are essentially second ultimates on cooldown. I actually wish supports contributed even more utility and less sustain but Ana and her powercreep kind of destroyed that possibility for OW.
