Lowering it to 0.65s as well as increasing the damage would be too much, as it will not only increase his burst damage but will also considerably increase his dps, it’s an increase from 112 dps to 138 dps, a 26 damage increase every second is a ton, it’s an increase of almost 25% damage, which directly translate to an even faster ult charge rate, the best option is to change the RoF to stay as 0.75s or to make it 0.7s.
Here is a table I made of the Damage per Second with each damage/RoF -
And if you choose to increase the damage you need to take that into account the ult charge rate.
I feel like those to changes are just bad, 8s cooldown is perfect for deflect in my opinion, and going back to not being able to manually cancel deflect is a step backwards, it will just make the hero more clunky, and will be a bad change for the Quality of Life in the game, as they are slowly making more abilities cancelable, there are a lot of more creative ways to solve the deflect problem that doesn’t take away the liberty of canceling deflect without making it oppressive to be against.
Unnecessary, dash is a perfect ability, probably one of the best-designed abilities in the game.
This feels wrong, makes nanoblade still be as strong as before but now it would be able to do 210 with just one slash which removes counter-play like Trans completely or the skill to slash dash and get a kill fast, as well as this would make it so dragonblade alone would just be a 1k-2k ultimate unless the enemy team is together in a tight space, but then still, it would be a 4k at most, as you’d need 2 slashes to kill one target, which leaves you with one slash that will not be able to finish a new target with unless they are low on health, also he will with this change get his blade extremely quickly, you are making the cost 1596, this would mean that he could probably get it under a minute most of the time
60 * 5 = 300; 1596 - 300 = 1296; 10 * 138 = 1380; 1296 - 1380 = -84 → ultimate ready.
This means that if you are only dealing damage for 10 seconds in a minute you could get the ultimate, and that is only taking into account the damage from your secondary fire, deflect and dash add a lot more.
Here is the thread I made a few days ago - Genji Changes - Discussion, this is coming from a Genji player at heart, wanting to make him better to play as well as not annoying and oppressive to be against, those are things that I have realized throughout my time playing him and against him as well, check it out and see if you see something you like, taking inspiration is always welcomed in my book, as I don’t care about the idea being mine but rather it coming to life.
