Amazing Reaper Masquerade-fan-skin

Magnificent. He looks ready to clear out a castle of nobles by midnight.

What really gets me is that some of the seemingly obvious skin ideas are notably absent, like Disco or golf ball Hammond.

I’ve been saying this since the comic came out. Masqurade Reaper would make such a good skin. I would pay 3k coins for it.

I’d lean more towards bowling ball over golf ball but yeah, some ideas are just meant to be xD

If he gets this skin they should give him a “You are a Pirate” voiceline too.

It’s okay . . . the in-game model should be a deeper red, like the concept art.

Now we just need this one as well…

Such a nice skin, it’s a shame reaper doesn’t have a better collection of skins really.
I also like the Ancient King fan made Reaper skin

Blizz! Step it up and do something for your ever dwindling player base!

I know, it’s really amazing.
I just saw the concept by “accident”

Especially the first image is stunning with all the details.
I need this skin.

Yeah, of course there are details missing and it’s a bit blunt.
But, it’s just “fanmade!”
But the first image with the 2d-concept, is really well made.

Love it!

I was very surprised when Venice Map came out, there were no Venetian masked skins to match it.

Blizzard’s self-important ego because of being an industry giant has definitely hindered their outreach and involvement with fans. It’s a shame really, because something like this based on their own comics has been crafted flawlessly and will most likely not see the light of day.

I’d love to see the Anniversary event use fan concepts, maybe even a contest surrounding and leading up to it all year on a monthly basis. Generating hype for an overall lackluster and subpar event. It would be a nice juxtaposition to the hype they spend all year building up for OWL and esports fans, but putting more of an emphasis on the community and fan base.

I agree on that.
There even was a skin-concept and it kinda was for…
…nothing.

Good there have been some lackluster price for the best skins/concepts.
But no talk about implemeting those or using them for future skins.
So I did really ask myself what is the point about a skin contest, if we never will see them in game?

I mean it would have to be a shift on Blizzard’s part. It would go a long way in restoring trust and invigorating the community again.

Heck, I remember seeing this:

And thinking they’d be nuts to turn it down.

Really for as much effort as they expend on esports, pro streamer and influencer promotions, I’m honestly shocked that they haven’t tapped into the artists and fan base at all.

It really is wasted potential.

Yeah and including fan-skins would really help those who wanna be designer or something similar to get some spotlight or getting picked up, by a company.

Absolutely, and it gives the community something to aspire towards and rally around as well. Contests that allow people to display things they’re passionate about can really go a long way.

Again, with as much emphasis as what’s put on OWL (athletics) and streamers (personality) both of which are directly involved in the gameplay aspects of Overwatch, artists should absolutely be given their chance to shine as well. There’s so much talent out there.

Makes me almost quotting Martin Luther King
In the manner “I have a dream”

Yeah for good god’s sake, I’ve been saying this the whole time the comic came out.
And the whole time they never listened.

The best part is that it’s actually a LESS radical change in the silhouette than some of his other skins.
There’s no reason for it NOT to exist.

Hopefully for Halloween this year with Harlequin Sombra?

EDIT: Also just realised this is a 2 month necro. Eh, whatever, it’s still great.

Those THIGHS! :weary::sweat_drops:
