Amazing how with one patch they undid everything

Don’t think we’ve ever seen the game do a complete 180 degree turn like we’ve seen in season 9. At the start the game felt incredible. The game flowed like water thanks to the dps passive nerfing in combat heals. TTK felt nice since hp increases made one shots not as common and the game actually felt engaging again. All that was undone in just one month lol. The dps passive was nerfed, healing was increased and for some unknown reason (other than selling anime skins) they decided to buff the most annoying tank in the game in Mauga. The game might actually feel worse for me than it did in season 8 and I’m genuinely impressed by that. It takes talent to be able to mess up a good thing this hard and this fast  . Well done blizzard…

oh well. I’ll just go back to replaying the Metal Gear Solid/Silent Hill series in preparation for the remakes.

all this talk about reworking cassidy and wrecking ball and they just buff characters no one really asked for

I never enjoyed S9. For me this is like the worst seasons combined.

Blizzard does not deserve all the criticism they get. People are just approaching this from the wrong angle. We assume they want to make a fun game and therefore they are incompetent. The reality is they want to make a trash game and they are the best developers in the world.

I ask for sym buff. But thats was not enough

:man_shrugging:t4: they gave the people what they wanted…

With this, balance was restored. The DPS are whining about not being literal norse gods again and complaining about completely balanced heroes. Mauga is such a non issue. You just play any of Tracer, Sombra, Bastion, Soldier or Sojourn and he’s in the spawn room doing nothing. Mauga is certainly good but by no means is he overbearing. He’s a solid B tier tank.

A lot of top players and content creators have been pushing blizzard to adopt a philosophy of constantly “shaking up” the game and I think Blizzard finally listened to them. Personally, I don’t think the game needs to play drastically different every month, but I can see how you’d want that if you play the game for a living lol. SOME change at regular intervals is good and healthy, but I dislike the whole thing where Blizzard gets to power trip and constantly forces down a meta (often corresponding to skins in the Shop) with heavy-handed balance that the players just DEAL with until the next patch when the cycle continues.

A lot of the seasons in OW2 were considered bad so combining them all is either an overreaction or sad reality

Overreaction?. Not really. I can barely play most of the supports now, DPS that i play like Torb & Junk is bad. Majority of ults are almost useless.

The whole point of increased health is survive even longer but when they are heroes like Tracer, Genji, S76, Sou & Widow that can quickly wipe someone with their gigantic projectiles.

I thought with health regen the burden for support would be lifted a bit but there is more “I need healing spam”. Things die faster. It makes playing support even more stressful.

If they did this changes season by season instead of all at once i would have spoken differently. Has someone who has being playing 2016 this season is just outright terrible.

Sad reality it is then

This is actually unironically true.

Blizz doesnt want to make OW a good game. They want to milk it as much as they can/

I find it interesting the forums’ “energy” is reflecting the game’s state.

Nice post there, THICC.
