Am i the only one who doesn't care about PVE?

Ai behavior needs a massive upgrade for pve to b enjoyable in the slightest, i mean they had 3 years, but i doubt they spent much time on it

Current Overwatch players are not the main audience for the PvE.They want to tap into the PvE crowds from Borderlands,Destiny etc.

Tbh, I am a lil skeptic about it. Even tho I love PVE games, Overwatch PVE events were always kinda “meh” for me - I did them once and than found it boring every time I did it again. I wonder, if this will be the same.

im also wondering about how good it will be since they have retain their voice actors/actresses for a while? i wonder if they will eventually have to change a voice actor out and if it will be noticeable. im sure it might happen

If this PvE mode is like the archives event then I am not interested. That mode wasn’t challenging enough or was just slow and boring. I only ever play it to get sprays lol.

I think the PvE games I like offer a bit of a puzzle or a new enemy or ability each level that makes it interesting. I honestly can’t quite pin point why OW’s PvE is boring.

Not a fan either. This community is too casual for pve. I can’t trust random players to shoot the enemy, or play the objective against pvp. These same people will not cooperate, to play a heavily objective based mode, against a aimbot horde. Plus how will the higher difficulty modes work, with most cc, and sustain being removed?

The system message says for troll, it’s not my fault.
Also almost all my posts are hot topics and got many likes, people agree with me and other are mad because of jealousy just like you and your friends

Well it is. Don’t troll.

Spamming or Trolling

  • Creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forums
  • Causing disturbances in forum threads, such as picking fights, making off topic posts that ruin the thread, insulting other posters
  • Making non-constructive posts
  • Abusing the Reported Post feature by sending false alarms or nonsensical messages
  • Numbering a thread, IBTL, TLDR, or any other fad statements

Tbf, you do some of this…

I fly solo on here. And I don’t think it matter a jot if people agree or disagree with you. It is how you communicate with those (usually who disagree with you) that will be your problem.

Just because they disagree, doesn’t mean they are wrong.

Just because you think something, doesn’t mean you are right.

To be completely transparent and honest, a lot of people that give positive opinions about F2P OW do post many troll posts as well and they somehow get away with it.

I don’t know Qwaser that much so I’m not gonna convict or defend them but I sure believe that there are very toxic pro-Blizzard posters among us who either share some Discord channel between them to mass report specific people or maybe 2 or 3 people that have multiple accounts and waste their time doing that questionable deed so specific posters get automated bans or something…

Some posters seem to have some kind of power rush out of this…

Given a bunch of the powers for PvE are things like “Torb turrets become flame turrets” I think obviously they are keeping deployables.

It’s the opposite for me, PvE is the only thing I care about at the moment.

Obviously, you aren’t the only one, but you would realistically probably be in the minority. PvP games are popular, but as evidenced by mobile gaming and the early Wii for Ninendo casual gaming is FAR FAR FAR more popular than competitive gaming.

The potential interest PvE OW could generate is higher than what PvP could be if done right. There is almost nothing to do with PvP as well. You release some new characters. Maybe put up some better modding tools. Cosmetics and other minor stuff. There really isn’t anyway to make OW feels different for PvP that isn’t making some impact on how it plays. OW1 got a lot of thinks right and so far OW2 PVP is making very few major changes.

For many people PvP for a pure competition like OWL fewer people have seemed to care for at all. Many people like OW characters. They enjoy the fan art and world that has been created, but they have been starved for content to fully immerse into it like one can get living through more story driven content.

I think of it like Halo. Lots of people came to Halo for the campaign mode to play as Master Chief, but stayed for the PvP multiplayer. OW is pretty much doing that in reverse now. Where it could have been popular due to PvE, but stayed generating interest with PvP.

The PvE is probably what I’ll be most interested in, but I do gotta say, Blizzard is doing their darnedest to make sure there’s nothing about which to care for it. So far, it looks like a mildly glorified, episodic Left4Dead, featuring more perks and no modding capabilities and seasonal gatekeeping. Not exactly blowing my mind here. I could also compare them to narratively connected Destiny strikes based on what I’ve heard, but again–not really blowing my mind.

I’m also curious what happened to the “highly replayable” hero missions. Haven’t heard much about those. NGL I have my doubts that they’re actually “highly replayable” and that it isn’t just Blizzard PR spin, because they’ve really said nothing about what they’re doing to make them so.

The archives type stuff i was never a fan of, junkerstein i enjoy every year. But these are pve tagged on to a pvp game not developed for a pve game. Maybe its good, maybe its not but i am not the doom and gloom type so ill just wait and see. If its just a bunch of archives ill laugh at it, if it has a decent rpg ish system it will probably hook me.

I don’t really care about any of that. I have seen people in a discord server try it, but no one took the bait. So I’d be dubious of its success.

Also, the guy was silenced rightly. The rules clearly state you can’t sh!t post about Blizz, staff or other players.

So tough luck if you do that.

maybe you are the only one I always see opening only complaints topic

or at least, for now I’ve always seen you on topics where you always complain.

I was silenced because i made a post about “To my detractors”, me explaining some people in this forum targeting on purpose because they don’t like my point of view about the game and blizzard, you are part of them, nothing else.

Yes that’s literally the purpose of a forum, to complain? If there is a problem people should say nothing?

if pve is anything like the pve in overwatch 1…i have pretty much no interest however it sounds like they have done a tonne of work in it so its hard to tell, that said no matter how good/bad the pve is overwatch will always be a pvp game for me mostly

more than anything else you do not understand what you would like about this game to log in again :man_shrugging:

it’s okay to hope it will improve, but here the complaint is a bit exceeding the average between “I like the game” and “I just like to talk bad about the game”. maybe that’s fine with you, but at some point it becomes not very constructive and just pessimistic. or vandalizing certain efforts that there are (clumsy or not) to improve this game by devs when they do something. :man_shrugging:

the arrival of the pve you do not like as an idea? ok, but between the thousands of current complaints, there was really a need to open one of an argument that we can’t even do, not being yet available as an in-game feature? I would calm down a little with pessimism sometimes. unnecessarily destroys your perception of the game.

I’m fairly indifferent about PvE in this point and time, but that’s because there’s barely any information on it right now. I think I’ll be more interested when we see and hear more about it though.
