Am I being toxic?

Yes. You just need to ‘read the room’ for every match. I turn on VC, say what’s up. If there’s no answer I might ask what people would prefer I play to show that i’m being a team player. If there’s no response then whatever. You shouldn’t be forcing people to play the game the way you want to. There’s no point in that and nobody cares. If you want to make call-outs then most people i’ve seen are in VC but just don’t say anything the entire time or open their mouth the moment things are going south.

VC is a skill and not everyone is great at it.
All I do is ult track in comms (I’m usually pretty accurate) and I just tell people what the win condition is. I.E. There’s an enemy mei in OT with ult. If we kill mei then we win. Don’t clutter comms with garbage if nobody wants to talk.

I used to ult track in team-chat as well. after a death i’d just write out the order of enemy ults after i died.

Saying this is actively throwing.

Its the weekend sh***ers. Teamwork is lacking from them. If you can play during the week when school is in then you’ll climb.
Everyone will tell you that’s not truly climbing but Having terrible teammates is not truly playing the game so it doesn’t matter.
Being adaptable works a lot but not as much on the weekends

Lack of comms has never once been the sole reason you were losing at bronze/silver. It’s a lack of understanding of any number issues like positioning, mechanics, games sense, etc.

For reference, I’m Masters 5 on DPS. I’ve never had more success in comp than when I completely turned off all match comms, and yes, that includes my own team. Even when a teammate is very obviously being hard countered or making silly plays and you politely point out how they can swap or stop making poor plays, they’ll still ignore you 9/10 times and it only makes them (and yourself) more bitter.

Focusing and improving on your own game is much more valuable than trying to work with uncompliant teammates in OW2. It shouldn’t be, but it is. This is only ever more true the lower your rank is.

1- you dont have to have a mic to join the voice chat.
2- if you dont joing voice chat you are throwing
3- if you cant join voice chat you shouldn’t be playing comp.
4- the ping system is garbage compared to actual communication.

Easier said than done since they removed group finder from the game which was one of the dimb3st things blizzard did with OW2

They can enjoy the game in quick play, not ranked. This argument is the same one trolls use to ruin games.

tell blizzard to use proper VOIP  they dont care
they could have used the warzone which work every where
and btw it is reported known issue since OW1
AND BTW the ping system is much damn faster than talking
if you dont know how to use it ,it is your problem it useful tool that is insanely good if you have the awareness required for comp matches

Lol, it is great when used with voice communication but alone the ping system is no where near as useful as voice.

I do both as everyone should in comp games.

yea telling the tank to get genji off you when he already fighting the other tank
the 1st thing you will hear come closer or where ! and the support will die before even he tank or dps have time to react !

First of all of you actually pay attention to your surroundings that is not an issue…
2nd, that is why i said you need to use both…

SMH… there are many obvious flaws with just pinging and not communicating. Do i really have to pint them all out to you? If so it explains your position on the topic.

Ok, so you are another one of those.

Not everybody can use voice comms and some people have valid reasons to choose not to use voice comms.

They may be playing in North America, but english might not be their native tongue. My nephew plays this game and plays well at masters, yet he has speech impediment that prevents him from speaking clearly. Then there is a crowd that will never join in game voice comms again because of bad experiences in the past. Who wants to listen to some 12 year old chewbacca screaming through a mouthful of cheesy poofs? Or, that thirty year old overgrown boy awkwardly describing how the voice of their teen female team mate excites him? Etc.

But not all is lost for you! Be social, build a friends list and queue with your friends (you can play well with others right???). Then you can chat it up all you want.

Duly Noted,
I just sick of typing and responded to in toxic ways so I chose to threaten heals in hopes that people would join I have climbed my way into gold and have been having better luck. The skill disparity in bronze silver elo just creates horrible dynamics due to ego and i fell victim

Do you actually believe that you will hear anything useful in Silver voice chat???

more i was trying to call out groups and weak squishies didnt care for them to talk really just wanted some sort of team work

Again , do you actually expect silver players to actually understand callouts & get the pick you called out??

No , most likely they’re on their own 1v5 & dying over and over.
