I don’t like them. Too much unnecessary stuff.
Really cool looking skins; but extremely disappointed.
I enjoy the skins on their own, but together, they don’t fit, and I don’t know how to feel about it in all honesty.
In 2018, we got Tracer and Genji skins. I think they complimented eachother well, and were both pretty decent skins for mainly two reasons:
- Tracer and Genji are both dive heroes - you would actually be playing them in the same comp.
- They don’t look the same, but compliment eachother well. The goldish-yellow on Tracer compliments Genji’s yellow-orange colour scheme well.
As for the 2019 skins, they were okay separate but they didn’t really compliment eachother. Although, these skins represent the Atlantic (Mercy has crescents and moons on her outfit) and Pacific (Lucio has suns on his outfit) fairly well. Two more reasons these skins were okay:
- Lucio and Mercy can both be played as dive heroes. They don’t have as much synergy as Genji and Tracer and probably shouldn’t be played together, but individually they can both pass as viable dive heroes.
- Their main colours are complete opposite on the colour chart which on it’s own can actually represent the skins really well. I think having the skins be completely opposite was a cool idea.
And now, we have Reinhardt and D.Va. The skins on their own are really cool, but my main issue is the skins do not compliment eachother whatsoever. Another factor is hero selection for these skins. They chose dive heroes for both previous roles (DPS and Support), so I don’t think Reinhardt works here. I understand they probably wanted to release a cool Reinhardt skin, but how cool would it have been if we got a Winston (Or Hammond, but preferably Winston) skin with the D.Va skin? We would’ve had a semi-compatible dive comp with all the All-Stars skins! The skins are cool, just not together. Reinhardt and D.Va are cool, but a Winston probably would’ve been cooler.
Just my opinion though.

I think it’s more because Rein makes more money than they just had a cool skin concept in their heads.

Very true. Reinhardt is a popular hero in pretty much every ELO, so I’m sure they’ll make more money off a Reinhardt skin than a Winston one. Just kinda upset about my All-Stars dive comp dreams being ruined.

I wonder how good 1st person will look! (Especially with the gold gun)
I’m getting both right away 1670 saved up. And I wonder what the MVP skin will be
