The Lucio in this game is clearly an AI. I am not sure the rank range of this match but I am currently plat 1 on tank. The Lucio is definitely a bot with strange movements, random ability usage, and several afk’s during the match.
He finished the game with 2k heals and damage. The sad part is we still almost lost and nobody seemed to notice until potg revealed an afk Lucio. I only checked the replay to see if he was throwing or not.

These are indeed troubling times for competitive overwatch. I have witnessed such bots before but usually in much lower ranks and playing in a stack. This is the first one I have seen close to diamond. But perhaps this is actually far more common as mentioned, nobody even noticed this during the match. It would certainly help to explain some of the matchmaking woes of late.
Unfortunately the replay is on one of the bugged replay maps which still have not been addressed and may cause dc. Although I was able to watch the whole thing on my 2nd attempt.
Thoughts?

Not watched yet… But you say weird movement. Was it someone who looked like they’ve watched too much frogger but don’t have the skills to pull it off?
It’s not a bot, it’s someone with connection issues at the very least. Probably why they’re playing Lucio and going AFK. If you watch from around 9 minutes on the match clock until they get eliminated, you can even see the Lucio teleport from packet loss. It’s also why their aim occasionally judders.
This is so melodramatic. Competitive is just fine.

A lot of people are having connection issues and lagging hard.

If the servers are unstable they should disable comp mode until it’s fixed, or at least post a warning somewhere
Nah don’t shut it down.
But if they are aware, they should communicate it.
That being said, lots of people were posting about it on twitter yesterday so there were clues out there for people.
I rewatched at the specified time stamp, did not see any “teleporting” taking place. Usually when a player lags out they will run into a wall until they dc. That did not happen either. I am still not convinced this is not an AI.

Are you watching from their pov or another player, or general view??
All give different perspectives when it comes to latency.
Is that because you want it to be ai, so you’ll disagree with any view someone has who says it isn’t?
If so, this is a pointless bait thread. Hopefully that’s not the case.

I watched in Lucio POV and also in general
I hope I am wrong in this case
Try from other povs
I’m just watching now, and on first glance I think Goa might be right.
Is that because you’re a shill or are you actually using your eyeballs?
Well, they’ve never paid me, so draw your own conclusion.
Either way. I’ve watched once. I’m in agreement with Goa.
I have nothing else to say.
Do I really need to video clip it (and there’s plenty of other examples later as well) or something? I don’t see the point when teleporting, movement and aim judder are clearly happening on the replay. I have the distinct feeling you’d say it wasn’t conclusive or perhaps something else instead of just accepting you were mistaken and that you now know how to identify packet loss in replays.

Can I get a non-biased opinion on this? Someone who will not defend Blizzard to the death under any circumstance
I am not biased. And nothing I’ve seen suggests Goa is either.
You just didn’t get the answer you wanted.

Its just network connection issues. When they dont have packetloss / network issues they play normally.

It looks like Lucio is AFK and alt-tabbing. That’s why his aim sometimes changes abruptly.
