You click the button to queue on your own, but when you hit the playfield, it’s a team game.
About two-thirds of the games I play, noone uses the text or voice chat to say anything other than who’s not healing/damaging/tanking enough, if at all. That’s the sort of thing that makes me not want to play.
Not saying Blizzard doesn’t hold all of the blame for this, as they control the game and how it’s played and how users conduct themselves, quite stringently I might add.
But getting out of bronze/silver/gold is more teamwork than individual skill unless you’re M/GM material simply because people act as if they’re playing a 1v9 game.
Another thing that gets overlooked a lot is that being on fire matters more than winning the game. If you play conservatively to win more, you’ll lose SR in the long run because you’ll win 8 and lose 11.
