The reason why Tanks can’t enjoy the game is literally you, the entire DPS main community who cry when they need one more second to kill a Tank. Finally the TTK is long enough that they have more time to fight back and do their job but no, the DPS content creators rally their fans to whine because a Soldier or Bastion can’t kill a Mauga who uses his defensive ability and will be defenseless for 5-8 seconds.
Tanks are supposed to be stronger. They have to do the job equal to 2 characters meanwhile they are being constantly Slept, Javelined, Trapped, Pushed Around, being focused by antiheal and the dumb DPS ability which endorses pocketing, etc.
If you can’t communicate with your team to focus down the main threat then you deserve to fall down in your ranks. The game is about communication, not about trying to be a hero and constantly dying into being focused.
With that said yes, i agree that some of them need some rebalancing. Mauga’s HP should be reduced heavily and the Hog Traps damage needs to be reverted with Winton getting aome tiny buffs.

No, it was the devs fault that most tanks can’t enjoy the game.
The OG devs for releasing the game with only 5 tanks, but 14 DPS. And only putting in 3 new tanks in OW1 whilst putting in 4 new DPS. Game should have released with something like 9/9/9 heroes to choose from each role.
It was the new devs fault for going 5 v 5 and assuming they could fix the problems that they knew, and stated openly that they were going to face with it. But they had to deal with the problem the OG devs left them with.
It’s not the players fault at all.

I agree with reverting back to 6v6 but they should roll back every rework as well (And reduce back every HP buffs) in that case. Most of them would be heavily unacceptable in 6v6.
No way your advice is to focus the tank… That is the biggest problem with tank, everyone is focussing them.
Devs are trying to motivate players to stop hard focussing on the tank. Play to get a kill in their backline. By taking away one support, you should be able to win the sustain game they created with tanks and win the fight. Just blasting everything into a tank is in most cases just a waste of time.
I’ve thought killing the backline is an already universal rule for the game. Orisa never was OP. Her main weakness was that her backline was the easiest to kill.
With that being said i mean two people working together. One debuffing the Tank and gives time for the other to rush behind them. Or alternatively just debuff them and let your Tank to take care of them.
Before this patch even pocketed Tanks died on their team.
How well does that work when your enemy team has decided the tank is unkillable, and instead decides to focus on the people keeping the tank standing?
Your backline theory doesn’t hold water when everyone is aiming at squishies now because they can’t drop the bullet sponge.
Why would anyone in their right mind want to focus a tank now? The current go to play is to ignore them entirely, let your team’s Kaiju go engage them while the cool kids kill the squishies instead.
I kinda agree with the spirit of your post, OP, but I can’t in good conscience go to bat for Mauga. I think it would have been better for everybody concerned if he had sat out this patch. All the other tanks get smeared by association and no role wants to deal with a Mauga, whether he’s on blue team or red team.
