invalid speculation. that’s not even what’s happening.
you’re saying that when I win too many games my MMR isn’t actually that high resulting in more difficult games that knock me back down to where I was before?
yes i am ===========
invalid speculation.
you just want me to explain it.
just continue enduring your endless nightmare.
Actually, that is not always the case. Most of the time, you are not counting your wins and losses correctly. However, you might be 2701, and go positive 7-3, but only hit 2799 because the enemy teams MMR was always worse and you were always predicted to win.And your losses you were predicted to win but you lost. 2701 & 2799 are both Plat 3 so you remain plat 3 even though you gained 4 extra wins at 24 SR points earned. Your MMR could be lower than you think, and you are actually really high in rank, so moving in rank slows down. You only move 0 -1 place at a time instead of 3 - 4 places. I’ve gone 7-3 and moved up 3, and I’ve gone 7-3 and only gone up 1 rank. I’ve gone 3 rounds of 7-6 and had the same rank 3 times in a row. The problem is they move small numbers behind the scenes but they won’t update you on your end. It makes you feel like you are not progressing and honestly, it’s my biggest concern with rank. It’s boring to not move (outside MMR being seriously broken right now).
everytime ive ranked up as support, i lose the next 5 games, and it makes me hate the game
That’s not true (for latest season at least). I’ve had some runs with more losses than wins but ranked up.
Yep. It’s a system that punishes you for being good. And rewards you if you suck.
It’s all about “engagement” .
That is because your wins were against higher MMR players and your losses were also against higher MMR players. How much you go up or down is about MMR wins and losses and the difference in MMR between the two teams.
They just hide this from you because they don’t want you to see how bad their match maker is at making teams “even”.
Blizzard doesnt need advice, like…as if they dont have the data collected JFL. Frustration is part of their spreadsheet, if not the objective.
