i think the new system 2-2-2 need a swap button for example if u played support and u were bad u can swap with someone who is dps or tank
that button will help players a lot

And how does that work if it’s a gold game and a dps switches with a tank but the tank is actually a master dps while the dps who swapped off is still just a gold tank?

Hard to implement especially with role specific SR = not likely

i think u right i thought that all the roles have 1 rank
then i search and i found that such role have a specific rank

Probably not going to work in a system with separate SR by role. Not to mention the “swap or I throw” situations that will pop up.

It’s called being carried.

A master DPS can carry a lesser skilled tank, but a lesser skilled DPS cannot carry a master skilled tank.

Being a tank isn’t just about being a bullet sponge, anyone can perform that role, but if nothing dies, that’s all the tank becomes.

Which could lead to abuse. Two friends grouped up a 3500+ DPS but on support as 2100. The two swap allowing the 3500+ to change to DPS and carry.

NO Swapping. You play what you pick. MAn up and be responsible for the choice.

Irrelevant

Some will may queue as tank or heal if the queue are faster and rewarding then harrass in game or stop playing untill they are swap as DPS (Snowflakes and kids)

What about SR different for different role keep playing and let dev do their job

Maybe at the beginning of the match if it turns out none of the 2 DPS players play hitscan or there’s a Lucio and a Zen onetrick but that’s kinda rare and already abusable aka. “Swap with me or I throw”.
Also, imagine someone playing support for one round, losing, then switching to DPS for 2 rounds and winning. Which role gets the SR? See?

It’s going to be a hot mess in the first month or so but then most of the players who want to climb will have to flex in some way within their role, the rest will drop to where they belong.

Why are you playing support then? You chose it, you’ll be queued with people exactly as good as you heal.

Swapping will never be allowed, that bypasses the SR/MMR check for the roles selected.

Tank is the most important role in OW, if a master dps is attempting to carry a team/tank…

Cool, so I’m a Gold DPS and a Diamond Tank, and my Wife is a Silver Tank and Plat DPS. So we can queue as me DPS and her Tank and get a 2000=2500SR game, then swap with each other and play our 3000ish SR heroes in a 2250SR game!

Yea no. There’s no need to make hundreds of threads about the same thing.

That system could be easily abused aswell.

222 is coming today with it’s own rulesets regardless if you like it or not.
Not with any silly ‘‘swapping your role buttons’’.

You’re not allowed to swap your ‘‘role’’ mid game in other sports either.
It’d be actually stupid.
