I am sick of this hero… This “support” should be a dps… please remove him support and make him a dps… then i can get some real supports

It’s in vogue for players to take Lucio and declare “I’m vibin’” which translates to an appropriation of “Reddit Lucio” meaning “don’t expect heals from me unless I happen to do it while I try to be cool making plays”

Yup and thats what annoys me… i takes our, imo, a very crucial role
If as a Support you shirk your duty to heal your teammates, you damn well better be providing value in some other way to make up for it.
Complaining without suggesting any solution is just that…complaining. What good is it? No good at all.
You’re unhappy with something? Ok… now what? Why don’t you give changes you think would make Lucio more healing oriented?

Honestly, I see far more DPS Anas than DPS Moiras or Reddit Lucios. The joys of being lower ranked, I guess.
Imagine Lucio with pharah’s rocket wall ridin, doing rocket jump and other cools techs. Would love to see lucio as DPS.

If you think the only job of a support is to heal, you don’t know how the support role works and should stop flaming your teammates.

Criticism is criticism - just because a problem has no solution doesn’t mean its not a problem.
I am all down for Supports making plays and going beyond healing, I love to DPS on Bap and Ana BUT I don’t do at the expense of my team trying to compete with them. That is just inefficient usually and frankly not being a team player.

He never asked for that; his contention is the group of Lucio players who get on the kit with zero intention of healing their team unless it just happens to support their purposes.

Complaints can go both ways though. Trying to speed your team in and your Rein just wants to stand at choke with his shield up instead of taking space and pressuring the enemy.
Normally I will stay by my team speed or healing depending on needs, with an engagement off if I see an isolated enemy and then come back
But if nobody will advance and take space, I’ll do it, because someone has to.

That argument is purely situational and paints the worst picture, you could equally have a competent lucio. That you haven’t played with competent supports is a matter of your own luck not an issue with the support character or the methods which support can be provided

If someone voices a positive opinion then there’s probably not much they want changed, so it’s a bit hard to be constructive. If someone voices a negative opinion but doesn’t offer any suggestion for how to fix it…it’s just complaining and not constructive.
Pointing out a specific problem is constructive criticism. “Tanks are dying too fast” is constructive. Saying “Lucio is a bad selfish support” isn’t. There’s too much of that going around on these forums, that’s my point.

I’d hate for Lucio to be moved out of support because he’s enjoyable as-is and on top of that we don’t have a large selection of support characters to begin with. We need more supports, not less. Meanwhile, there’s plenty of fun DPS.

You keep saying i havent offered a suggestion. I will assume you can not read. My suggestion was remove him as a support and make him a dps… How is that not a suggestion?

Its constructive simply to raise the issue and evoke dialogue. What’s interesting here is virtually no one can deny the problem exists… the best is “supports do more than heal”… kinda thin…
Obviously people have different views. But it would be helpful if people pinpointed issues instead of blanket statements like “looks bad”, that’s not helpful, as the devs could change it for the worse without knowing what exactly looks bad, ya dig?
Personally, I think the Lucio looks awesome and they should increase his general viability what do you think?
