Activision's greed

Activision is so greedy they are selling an open dot cross-hair for $1 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
I hope Overwatch wont go that low.

activision has nothing to do with blizzard

INB4 activision owns and controls blizzard, i would agree with you if it was true except its not. not sure why everyone is jumpin on the activision bandwagon all a sudden its not as if this merger happened a week ago they merged in 2007

As I understand the merger it was to enable both companies as separate bodies to make use of each others resources. i.e: COD BO4 on Battlenet and extra funds for Blizzard games coming from Activision earnings. I may well be wrong but honestly I don’t care too much.

They never talked about activision games at blizzcon till the last one neither… and look how well that blizzcon went down hint hint like the Hindenburg.

Activision influence growing and the lack of new events scare people.

Activision and Blizzard always saw each other as separate entities and didn’t really impede on each other’s workflow until this past year, after OW netted 9 billion in its first year.

Ever since then, Activision has began impeding more and more in Blizzard space. Even causing some employees to quit and the CEO of Blizzard stepped down and somebody within Activision is now the president of Blizzard, meaning it has even more Activision influence, as well as Blizzard being told to cut many funds BY Activision.

Blizzard currently doesn’t have a CEO. They have a president, but not CEO. It most definitely is due to Activision influence that many employees were offered a year of pay to quit (to cut some costs down long-term), to cut costs in every game, which is why Heroes esport was canceled, and why they’re working more on mobile/multiple games. To make quicker cash. Because Activision asked for it.

I mean, they have to make money SOME way, making quality games is expensive after all.

just ask the impoverished top dog who lives off a measly 40mil

They’ve been one of the most hated gaming companies since forever together with a few other like the even more notorious EA and the awful Ubisoft.

Activision was EA before EA became EA.

Activision is putting pressure on Blizz right now to make more games with less money in less time.

Although Jason Schrier is a complete man child, he gets a lot of his facts straight. I REALLY don’t like the guy personally, but his articles are the best on the site due to his reporting.

I’m glad my monitor gives me a red crosshair for free

Lol Rainbow six siege is better than any Activision Multiplayer.

That’s what happens when you pump a Dirigible fulla things you shouldn’t because it was easy

What sort of malevolent entity could sell a crosshair.

A crosshair!?

is BO4 worth it with all of these micro transaction issues?
I’m mostly interested in zombies, but I’m thinking of giving BO4 a hard pass and just save up for BO3

That’s because people are stupid.

OW has as many events as WoW does, and about the same variety. Anyone who assumed that every year would get new events is delusional because it’s not something they ever promised.

It’s like you got mad at Christmas because your parents didn’t buy you a red Lamborghini, when they never suggested that it was even a remote possibility, much less something they were going to actually do.

They always had indirect choices between each other. Just look at the Blizz games before and after merging with Activision. The first one what comes to your mind is all of the new games has Loot Box system and/or unfair RNG.
