This is very true and a reason that I would never purchase anything just now even if they lowered the prices.
If you think OW is in maintenance mode, then you think OW1 entered that in 2017 as we get objectively more content every year then any point in OW1.
Well, except tanks who they have already buffed to the point of unkillability in too many games, and are in a place where other roles don’t enjoy the game because it all revolves around whoever can kill the tank (and then you spend 2 mins killing it and mercy clicks 1 button and you start again - so engaging!).
By that logic, overwatch has ALWAYS been in maintenance mode, lol.
It’s crazy how it took over a year for most of you to wake up, but still not all.
It has always been this way. Even during its first year. Maintenance mode was when we did not get content. Getting content is just the normal lifecycle of Overwatch.
im gonna be honest today matches are not fun at all havent won a single match even if i started later than normal i usually win a match
As a lot of popular streamers/influencers like to say every Season:
“WE’RE SOOOOO BACK” …yes, back to maintenance mode.
This game just refuses to innovate anymore.
In retrospective, the whole game was one trick pony created from the remains of another failed project and just got lucky to be somewhat fun.
New abilities is fun even as a teammate or opponent.
I’d rather take nitpick balance updates but more heroes make that impossible, basically.
Maybe lower incomes than the average for their age group, yeah. That can be said of pretty much all “gamers” though. Not just the one’s that choose to spend money, lol.
…what makes you think that they are lying about spending their pocket money on skins? or what are you talking about son, lol.
This take is strange to me. I can certainly understand complaints about the quality of some content. The heroes they’ve released not having enough skins, or the surprising amount of recolors, using placeholder cosmetics in the battle pass instead of content we’d prefer, game modes most seem to hate, maps that are beautiful but also terrible design, perhaps you don’t like the content of the hero balance patches… I get complaints like those even if we don’t all agree on them.
But maintenance mode? Were you around when it was actually in maintenance mode? We got nothing. No heroes. No maps. No balance patches. Very few skins or anything (only around big events). You can complain. That’s your right. But maintenance mode this is not.
I do think that their art department is behind and they probably need to hire some folks though.
Street fighters is getting a great new character
Elden Ring be releasing a long-S DLC
Why bother playing this piece of crap
The US no longer has a middle class. You’re either lower class, or upper class.
You’re either pinching pennies, or you have enough money to build a swimming pool and fill it with champagne for your dogs to swim in.
Unless they start stealing moba intensive kits, they don’t have much to “innovate” off of.
There’s no other hero shooters putting fire under them. And when one comes around, you can bet it’s going to feel about 60% dipped in OW “innovation”
quarter circle back out of here with that. Fighting games are boring.
And the souls games are single player.
Haven’t played the game for more than a month and only pop in here and there to see how it’s doing. Even before, I only played to finish up the BP.
The absence at Summer Games fest got me feeling that may be the case, but blizzard is also supposed to be at Gamescon this year, I’ll give them a chance there
I think it is worst then a maintenance mode because the game is to far out of balance. One thing MH shows is how bad the balance truly is. Now do not get me wrong there was some comps in OW 1 MH could RNG up but nothing compared to OW 2 MH. They try so hard to get people to play certain roles they lost focus on balance.
Not only is the content too slow, they’re removing content. This game could’ve been great. I dunno how you drop the ball so much.
