Also, the draft is buggy. I attempt to lock in my character and it won’t let me. Then, gives me a character I never play. Come on, why did you have to change it?
I am struggling to get out of rookie when I was able to push to elite in a day. All because I can’t play what I am good at. How is that competitive?
Please please remove the no mirror option at least, the pool is just too small. I’m good with Moira, and reasonable at least with Kiri and Zen. If they all go (and they often do) then I’m flailing with the others. I’m already tired of this, and giving up on Comp Stadium until it’s removed.
Another game with premades when I’m solo, both dps were gold players, we got destroyed, 8 losses in a row, fantastic drafting and matchmaking guys!
Here was me thinking the only word that would come after “Absolutely butchered” this season was “Hog” xD
Completely agree on thread. Such a small hero pool in stadium means that if you are last pick and are support or DPS you are likely to have to play a hero you rarely play. So to play the hero I want to have fun with I have to go to quick play and deal with leavers EVERY MATCH. Draft is a fine idea, but saying no mirrors was a complete miss by the devs. That idea only works in top elo and takes most of the fun and even matched games out of it for metal ranks.

We managed to connect and do a few games tonight, two of the games we didn’t get our usual heros and it showed in how well the games went…, third game we got our mains & game went better! Fourth game the servers crapped out after being on constant 300ping, we all got reconnected and even though we won we didnt get our points!
Not a great start to the new season, the disappointment is reeal!
I hate complaining about OW cause its a great game, but to quote the chatter above:

Just lost my 10th game in a row in Stadium, enemy dps had 15 elims per round, mine had 2 
Drafts are okay, but banning mirror picks is deranged. Not going to be playing Stadium comp because of this. No one asked for this, Blizzard. Why would you shoot your most beloved game mode in the foot like this? You were doing SO well–why make the game less fun?
yeah match making was a problem last season too, but people potentially not being able to pick their mains on top of that is just going to cause more balance issues!
This is such a clueles answer. Sometimes people just enjoy playing the hero they want to play period. there is nothing wrong with this.

They act like they have players to spare. OW has had the harshest fall from grace and that is not including the rest of the IPs at blizz.
I am astounded at how fast they are trying to balance a side game mode and not actually work on the base game. The one where they squandered a full expac to make minor changes in and have already reverted most of them back to OW1 status.
I did complain about how hard the counters were for tanks (and some dps) when blind-picking. My proposed solution was having more specifically tailored items for certain tank/counter match-ups, like the anti-beam items for D.Va. (she needs an epic version that blocks 90% beam damage while DM is active)
Don’t break the system, adjust the heroes for the fact that there’s no swapping.
TBH, for me Stadium IS the main game mode. I don’t care if I ever touch the “main” game mode again.
