if you are one of them reading this right now just stop it really its cringe-irritating af whats even the point rlly ? it kinda pisses me off i mean you won good for you gg wp why the humiliation ? i mean sometimes they barley win with 1 second left on the clock and ‘‘they’’ still type that damn word anyway my main point is the word ‘‘ez’’ should be censored if you ask me i mean something should be done about this and ım sure im not the only one about this cancer
when you get your first match of the day press P and where it shows match in orange there is a little box that has a bunch of lines. Click on it to block Match chat then you won’t see it for the rest of your session (until you close and reopen the game)
You can do the same for team chat too, though you won’t see them call for healing in the chat box etc.
TRUST ME, it’s so much better this way. I just wish there was a permanent option for it.
and yet most of the person who typed ‘’ ez ‘’ at the end of his winning match is the useless person that get carried by his teamate
I mean honestly, if you get angry from just 2 letters in a chat of a video game…
For me, it’s when people type gg when the game clearly wasn’t.
I won’t respond in chat, and it’s not a major deal. But I really don’t get why people use it that sense. I’d wash myself for feeling so dirty.
u right ty for ur answer i mean this works but like in smite when you type certain words for example it just shows **** it would be great to have this feature i mean if i block the entire chat just because of that 1 person communicating with other players would be a problem but thanx anyways
That’s your answer right there.
Some players are just mediocre and seek to put others down to feel good about themselves. Some stream themselves playing a character that points out their teammates’ mistakes/roasts them, and it’s my favorite type of content.
To me it genuinely takes less energy to choose not to care what a rando says in one or two rounds of OW where there’s 11 other people involved… than it does to filter through my settings and mute/miss something.
I am capable of filtering my own chat through my emotional checks, I don’t need the game to do it for me lol.
People type ez because they are insecure
People type ez because they won the game due to the fact that half your team over extended and got wasted.
People type ez because they didn’t realize the match was over 10 minutes long.
Should it be censored? Sure. Will it be? No.
the only times i do it is when i lose.
i also say “try winning sometime, lmao” in match chat when i lose
If the game censors two letters because of sensitive people - then why have a chat in the first place? You get mad over two letters, not even four - and people can say much worse things with more letters if they want to. Stop being offended lol
People type ez because it tilts high strung people enough to make threads about it on the OW forums.
Congrats, you got played son.
So true it’s stupid

just mute them and move on, they just want to annoy you. Its not worth even thinking about.
That’s exactly the point. Nothing else. Some get so pissed off they leave the game, effectively weakening the enemy team by typing 2 letters.
And thats exactly why they do it.
It’s especially hilarious when it was actually a very good, close match with some really good fighting. It’s like, that was legitimately a good match and you’re really gonna toss that nonsense out? Ok lmao
Anyway I blacklist everyone who does it. It’s funnier if it’s serious than if it’s not, but only because then it’s kind of sad.
They type it so that you will come here and type this. Do you really think your paragraph on the forums is going to convince them to stop?
I mean, its just a small insignificant word on the internet, could just ignore it i guess. Just my opinion though.
Here’s what I think about everyone who types that. (I realize this isn’t always true, but it’s what goes through my head)

You are either a very young, prepubescent boy who thinks he’s edgy, when you are sooooo very not edgy OR you are a man child who lives in his parent’s basement still.
-
Whichever of the above is more correct, you are very insecure and you feel the need to make yourself bigger by tearing other people down, and I genuinely feel sorry for you.
-
You were probably the least helpful on your team, and basically got carried to that “ez” win.

Every once in a blue moon, really feel someone is going for the sarcastic ez. They’re trying to say it was a good game, but they lack the words to do so. However, most of the time it just comes across as childish and petty, so if this is you, please use other words to tell the enemy team that you enjoyed the game. Because we all know that those rare games, where you’re both pretty equally matched, really are some of the best games out there.
