Oh wait, you’re talking about actual tank command. I was just talking about reinhardt, not a Challenger 2.
Why? Is your nephew this ARMA3 “force marine”?
Sure it is … especially this “force marine” …
Yeah because rein isn’t meta. There aren’t any high level reins atm.
You are a bs artist, talk about everything except the actual substance.
Good luck climbing if you can’t understand tanks need to make space.
Okay thanks for your pro advice. I will take it to heart.
I am talking about the amount of actual military doctrine that can be used in Overwatch. It’s very little to none.
I thought it kind of cute you would attempt to apply rifle squad mentality to tanking.
You make the claim that making space is the job of the team. This statement depends on how much bulk reasoning you place into the term “making space”.
It is the tanks job to assess the enemy team. Placement, numbers, hero selection, and make a determination based on what they perceive as how they should move to make space. It is up to the team to follow the tank in whatever decision they make. This is the part where they have responsibility in the “making space” equation. They do not, nor can they initiate the fight. However, if they sit in the choke when the tank moves to pressure the front line of the enemy team, it will lead to one certainly dead tank.
Yes, it is everyone job to pay attention and to know what their job is. It is up to the tank to initiate the fight and create the space that needs to be fought over.
Just have to ask what comic book this came from? The standard Nato round was the 7.62 starting the 50’s until the late 90’s when the rest of Nato accepted the 5.56. The 5.56 spins and causes an extreme amount of damage to a human over the slower 7.62. That is why the US Marines adopted the round during Vietnam. And shoot to wound ??? Ha. Man that kills me.
Signed, your not so friendly US Marine ( who does NOT shoot to wound jack )
I think its more of a team thing to get space.
While the tank needs to get his stuff together and press W, the healers need to make sure he stays alive.
A solo tank pushing alone will only feed.
Furthermore the dds need to aplay the needed pressure on the other tanks barrier or HP to force him to push back even further.
To just tell the tank to press W and it will work is stupid.
Not to mention that nowerdays barriers hold for a few seconds of constant fire at best.
So the team also needs to play around natural cover.
If thats what you wanted to say, i am sorry for misunderstanding you.
PS, some day i wanne be an Tank comander, but thats a long way to get there.
I agree.
And if that decision is ‘do not stand behind me you lazy f-words’?
More or less.
The biggest gripe I have towards my team, which I sit and eat in silence by the way, is when I see an opportunity, take it and move into uncontrolled space to claim it for my team, and they sit there waiting for the enemy team to engage them at the choke. It’s infuriating to say the least.
This depends on what tank I am playing at the time.
Most likely I will be playing Reinhardt. At least in the beginning of the match. I need my team to stand behind me, as I have a big ___ shield that allows them to deal damage from behind it. If I see a weakness develop where the enemy doesn’t have coverage, or weak coverage, then I want to move there. I expect my team to move with me. It allows them the most coverage behind my shield, or massive profile if the shield is gone. By no means does this decision automatically bear fruit. I can make bad decisions just like everyone else. It doesn’t mean my team should sit on their thumbs and wait for me to die and then blame me for my actions. We win as a team, we lose as a team, and we succeed as a team.
I play tank because I accept the responsibility that my decisions may lead to wining a team fight, and they also may lead to a team wipe. I do my best, and that’s all I ask from my team.
I can’t really argue with you. For some reason you just seem pretty cool despite the fact I didn’t really read what you said. Sorry.
Now barriers are nerfed. Will bad tanks
A: Stand at the choke with their shields up and complain their barriers get broken
B: Actually get aggressive and make space?
Pretty big nerf to those of you who don’t understand what tanks are supposed to do.
Pretty sure there hasn’t been a theatre of war in the entire world that had biotic healing technology, resurrections and ultimate attacks. Could be wrong though, those DARPA lot sure are smart!
Thats different from what I heard?
5.56 is lighter than 7.62 so lets stress on soldier carrying ammo. Soldier equipment is not light, if you ever tried to carry one.
Also, its gives you less recoil and it travels more distance all else equal compared to 7.62.
So unless youre in an complete jungles, youre better to have 5.56 bullets.
PS Its an interesting topic, so I googled it - it is also said that wounds left by 5.56 bullets (It stucks inside body making a big hole in it) are worse than wounds left by 7.62 (It just penetrates it leaving a small hole) which is opposite of what you said lol.
