do i lose more sr than i win or is it just me?
i feel kinda annoyed when i win like 3-4 games and lose 1 and lose like half of what i just gained.
Welcome to blizzard logic.
It depends. Let me give you an example:
You are at 1000SR. You win a game, it goes to 1013. You lose a game, it goes to 990.
This is +13 and then -23.
Some factors it depends on include personal play. If you play badly, you’ll lose more and win less.
However. Say you played well…
This indicates the MMR/matchmaker/whatever fancy name people call it now thinks your skill level should be lower than it is.
I have the same thing but reversed. For example:
I have 1200SR.
I lose a match, then 1184
I win again, it goes to 1203.
SR gains are affected by a number of factors, including likelihood of your team winning based on composite MMRs, the distance between your current SR and your MMR, and (for Plat and below) your statistics per 10 compared to other players at your rank on the heroes you played.
Exactly. It’s totally F’d up …
Most likely, the game has performed an analysis of your performance, and decided that you are not doing well. See How Competitive Skill Rating Works (Season 14) → Performance Modifier
Tanks are a bit notorious for having the game doing a bad job of this. I have the same problem with my tank account.
You’re in gold, so you performance stats directly affect your SR per match. Once you get to diamond this goes away, but as you get higher you will generally get less for a win and loose more for a loss. This is normal, and its how they balance the higher tiers, if it were just as easy to get into GM as gold, then everyone would be there.
Yea I hate it, they should either be open about it or remove it. Competing under such circumstances isn’t ideal when it comes to Solo Q especially when groups are involved too. I doubt the effectiveness of the system when it comes to lower ranks (based on what we know about it) but there isn’t really a way to prove it
