Yes…this is another Demon Hunter Sombra post.
First of all, thank you Blizzard for another amazing event with amazing skins. Your hard work is always greatly appreciated!
Moving forward…
I find it ridiculous that when Blizzard announced this skin that they SPECIFIED that it WILL be available in the future. That being said it was then the costumers choice to spend $80 just to get the skin then or to wait perhaps another year for it.
There is no point for Blizzard to take back the skin due to backlash from those who bought the tickets because Blizzard made it completely clear that it WILL be available in the future, so therefore many people didn’t buy tickets and decided to be patient.
It seems pretty unfair to make all those people wait for a skin and then not even fulfill the promise to give it to them just because some people are throwing a fit that their $80 skin is now available to everyone for much less.
Blizzard gave us and choice and if you chose to spend the money there is no reason to be upset that some other people waited months for it. Blizzard, we deserve an explanation for why the skin is now a legacy item and not available to everyone…
I personally didn’t buy a blizzcon ticket because I knew it would be available to everyone so I decided to be patient, this isn’t how I expected to be rewarded for that patients.

I’ve seen so many sombra posts, and i agree with them as well.
But the real question is, when are blizzcon bastion and winston going to be released?
I mean why only sombras? That’s just weird

Those where blizzcon exclusives, but sombra’s wasn’t.

Probably because Sombra’s is a legendary compared to Winston and Bastion’s epic skins haha. Also have you seen the skin? It’s gorgeous, especially to me as a Sombra lover. Also the Winston and Bastion skins were never announced for public release, as well as being older than the Sombra skin.

I myself am dying to get my hands on this skin, but I do think people are jumping the gun a bit. The year isn’t even halfway over, and it could have been a mistake or just a quick fix to something to mark it as a legacy (and we all know how great and quick they are at fixing things). Give it time. Come Blizzcon this year if we are yet to hear about it, then I would start to get concerned. As of rn, it’s too early to tell.

I totally understand but it was listed as just a blizzcon skin under the normal, purchasable and event skins, but now it was changed to legacy which we have never seen a legacy skin return to the market so that is where our concern is derived from.
I completely understand, and even when I saw that I got scared and kinda mad. But honestly, thinking about it that may have been an error on their part. I wish they would actually talk to us more about this (or anything really).
Personally I see it as more of a quick fix that they did. And I still have faith in Blizz, until proven otherwise, that it will be available again in some way.
Bastion and Winston were said to be exclusive, period.
Sombra’s was told from day one that it would be available again later.

THey didn’t give an exact time, they just said “next year” at Blizzcon. You still have 7 months left in this year.
If I had to make a guess it will be available around Blizzcon this year. It would make sense to unlock it 1 year later.

I have been holding my tongue for awhile about this and trying to be very very patient. But as a Sombra main who even has this dank ho tattooed on their leg, I fulled expected this to be released on the Anniversary event. When I read the actual fine print and noticed that it said it would be available again in 2019, I took the chance and waited because I saw no benefit to wasting $50 on a skin. I’m all for spending money on skins, I bought Mercy’s Pink skin twice, but that also went to a good cause. But $50 for Sombra’s ONLY good skin? Absolutely NOT.
I cannot even put into words how much I hate all of Sombra’s other skins. I have almost a total of 500 hours on her across all systems and accounts and I still play in her default because her other skins suck that hard. They all have manager mom hair or terrible color combos. Her Peppermint and Virus skins are the only exceptions.
I get that this $50 was for Blizzcon, but as we all know the 2018 event was a lackluster POS. There was no other benefit to me to buy that ticket. I might like Sombra, but my tattoo cost only a little bit more than her virtual skin that’s only good for ONE account.
I’m really starting to reach my limits with this game.

2019 hasn’t even ended yet

But the initial price that was accidentally revealed was 1000 credits iirc, which is the same price as old event and non-event legendaries. I don’t care how you feel about the people who bought the tickets just for the skin, dropping the price like that is just a low blow.
But possibly taking it away from the public is a low blow too

Almost 100000% certain them saying it would be available later was only at one point and it was a mistake?
I believe Blizzard is scummy and have nothing nice to say about them; however, if you got a tattoo of her… Like, why would you not just buy the skin? That is insane, fam. I love Overwatch but would never get a tattoo of my homeboy Reaper and that is even with the excuse that I could fall back to a generic Reaper if I ever had regerts. If Reaper had an exclusive skin, I would buy it.
Like… There is a discrepancy here. Lul.
Kind of looks like a Halloween skin to me, maybe it’ll come out during out during Halloween? Idk anymore
I don’t think it’s appropriate to be criticizing someone for their tattoo choice just because you have a second opinion… And if you ask me putting money into a tattoo of a character is much more worth it than $50 for just a skin
They need to make it available. I’m very unhappy with the idea of an expensive exclusive skin tied to a digital ticket. But early access to a skin everyone gets is ok. They said everyone could get it, everyone better be able to get it.
You know it wouldn’t surprise me if they did one of those limited time things with Diablo Immortal like they did with HotS
