A mode to be simply shown all shaders

The fact that with the Steam version of the game I can run Overwatch on Linux via Proton was the last straw for me to ditch Windows entirely for personal use.

i’m getting quite a lot of lag in the game, but that is entirely up to the fact that the Vulkan (DXVK) shaders are being pre-compiled and cached as-seen. The more I play, the better it gets. But I’m afraid of what is going to happen with updates or if I lose that entire shader cache.

Is there any way for me to trigger this shader pre-compilation for every shader somehow and building the entire cache? I don’t mind having it run for a long while and then having my peace after that concluded.

I guess there is none right now, but would that be something worth considering?

Did you try spending some time in the training range before playing matches? That has worked for the recent AMD model users.

you can probably find / make a workshop code which spawns in every character one at a time (at varying distances from you because of in game LODs). and then after that, go through each map and have it fly you around. if you really care past that, try making a macro to inspect the weapons and skins for each hero in the hero gallery. another option may be to look into async shader compilation through proton ge. i’ve dabbled with overwatch on proton, go check the proton compatibility forums. i did eventually stop playing on linux, i’m too afraid of the devs accidentally changing their anti-cheat to flag proton. either way, good luck.
