You kind of invited these questions when you claimed he was playing like a plat but got to GM.
You can’t play anything else like a plat and get to GM; the positional issues alone would just cause you to feed your brains out.

Sure, but I literally just answered his question, and in his very next reply he asked the same question and ignored my answer. That is a troll move.
You can replace Samito’s Mercy as any other healer in those situations and he would have been carried in all of them. The stats were bad. The skills were bad.

If you learn good enough mental manipulation you’ll be GM IF NOT masters BARE MINIMUM.
People get so many “Toxic” and “Hard headed” people they can’t imagine shot calling as anything but a “Joke” and the thing that the most meanist evilist “Bossy” “know it all” people use.
If it’s me shot calling I determine how much fun the enemy teams gonna be having that game hands down, you better hope someone on my team is a actual potato.
Now Samito shot calling, NGL you can just wrap it up there.
I don’t mean it to come across as trollish. If someone says something that sounds insane to me I have to ask again to make sure if it’s my sanity that’s in question.

Let me make this simple, any of the mercy tech is generally easy to learn mechanically, esp after the super jump was made accessible.
Now how far will you reach with mercy mostly the same rank as you are now more or less.
She is not some magical solution that will make you get to gm.
Whatever ease you get mechanically with mercy is traded in terms of ult power and passivity as a support.
So she is a well rounded and balanced hero that will climb as high as your rank.
Anyone saying otherwise is just being unfair.

Honestly your “answer” is a bit underwhelming.
Not all the way to GM, people dip up and down half a rank or so. You’d be hard pressed to get out of plat at all on a hero like Lucio or Bap playing like a plat.
It’s all just weird tribal stuff lol. But I do also feel dumber for getting sucked into this discussion

I mean most people in metal ranks who are hardstuck either
a) have genuine internet or hardware issues holding them back
b) simply don’t play OW/ranked enough, and if they do they don’t bother to try to improve or learn from their mistakes
OW2 is genuinely so much easier to rank up in than OW1 if you just focus on playing your best every game and play a lot of games

It’s cause people have been harassing mercy mains calling them dumb skill less or whatever since the dodo bird streamer whined in 2017.
The tribal wars started when one of the biggest threads on this forum was ignored cause of the bias against mercy, cause Dev’s use mercy main as a running joke in their dev blogs.
All that adds up.

I’ve played in GM enough to have seen it happen plenty of times. Samito himself would say this same thing. We have seen the best players fall into master. The opposite happens too.
That might get someone from bronze to gold.
Getting from gold to masters takes more then “a functioning device” or “playing more”

As someone hard stuck in diamond since ow1 while everyone else went to master+ 
I can attest I have decent hardware that runs at 120 fps
I two trick only hanzo tracer and nowadays only qp with a pinch of new sombra.
I can also attest I never learn anything from my games😂

1/X typically isnt enough to grasp the full picture.
To do an honest review of his unranked to gm climb, one must review his unranked to gm climb.
for me it was only like 1% more
the things that made the biggest difference were…
- changing to more sustainable heroes (my way of saying, heroes that scale with skill but are easier to play. aka hitscans)
- doing aim drills in game as a warm up
accepting i sucked and that i needed to improve was helpful, and its the only reason i did these 2 things but it on its own didnt help me.
but besides this, i really just played alot. back then private coaching was near as good as it is today
and since then ive done nothing special to maintain my rank, i just play the game and adapt to whatever changes.
but really people dont need to do a whole lot more then just play the game to get into diamond
past that you may need to put in more effort but simply being able to get kills on a given role without feeding is more then enough to hit diamond 5

so this means u are admiting ALL Mercy player on master or above especially GM all got carried?
even dafran basicly trolling while playing mercy and do some stupid stuff be able to reach top 500
bogur also play mercy pistol and doing stupid stuff and able to reach top 500
so it means all mercy on GM are boosted?

Literally this the stuff I had to learn about lifeweaver like when to tree when not to tree, whos his best match ups winning my 1v1s pre platforming etc. then there’s when to keep 3 on cart all the ways to use pull, when to go on flanks, take off angles.
All of these things contributed to me reaching masters, I haven’t seen a single one of the healbot weavers I passed on my way to get here at my current rank despite how “Easy” and “unkillable” this hero is.
Not a single damn one.
I’m sure this will ruffle some feathers but it’s because Mercy is the ultimate “just don’t die” support.
Her value is effectively guaranteed and requires zero mechanical input. She doesn’t need to do much of anything other than not die and yes, that does get more difficult as you climb.
So while Samito doesn’t know the tiny playstyle optimisations that her one tricks do it doesn’t matter because he does understand postioning at a very high level. Things like damage boosting fire strikes for a second, her various movement techs are min maxing and do require a lot of experience. They just don’t make that much difference as she still fundamentally relies on her team to do the heavy lifting and all of it is insignificant compared to simply existing and attached to a dps.
That’s why he played “like a plat” yet still easily reached gm and it’s why this situation is unique to Mercy.

Top 50 dps players used Mercys gun to slaughter people they are infinitely better against and climbed. In other news, scientists detected that water has the property of being wet. None of this unranked to GMs are educational not even ones made by mercy mains. Blizzard needs to outlaw them
