I’m not particularly in favor of the changes to primary/secondary fire. You’re distracting Lifeweaver too much in its concept as a healer that is very popular as an alternative to Mercy. Or at least, it seems to me not very functional to the problems that it could solve elsewhere.
The petal platform doesn’t convince me. I mean, we already experimented with a similar buff of this ability in Diablo mode and frankly it was underused. in fact it was too distracting from the tactical gameplay of using the platform as an elevator. making it a specific area in which you receive a performance buff can be dangerous and distracting, also negatively affecting the gameplay. a bit like the old bastion players who relied too much on choosing the right position for the old turret mode.
the change that I consider most damaging is the one to treat the petal platform as sigma’s ability: I think the current automation works decently, but it urgently needs BUG-fixes, not a rule on how it gets up. I would rather act in another direction for the platform: a DEBUFF for the opponents who are on the lifeweaver platform while he is also with them. Maybe on speed, so that they are more disadvantaged than him on this item he is using.
lifegrip is my least favorite, sorry. i think this ability is much more useful than people who don’t realize the huge life-saving feature it provides. instead, i would monitor how ultimates can be activated during lifegrips, just like reinhardt did where you can’t activate it at the time of ultimate. this ability needs some control over other gameplay, but the principle behind it is very good. the changes you suggested seem to make it an extremely slow technique for the “I have to do something immediately.” thinking it was born with. and i like how the developers fixed the “fall incidents” on the map very well. giving it momentum would make it very unresponsive in very short drops like the Rialto water.
i repeat, in my opinion the only kit to look at before anything else is the petal platform and how it behaves with collisions. then, giving it more effects or being able to lower the platform for a second use could be useful. but in the meantime the very serious problem of how it fits with climbs or walls needs to be fixed. and as mentioned before, how lifegrip affects other allies’ abilities. for example, a phara that is moved during her ultimate is much more dangerous to herself than to enemies (you know… self damage).
