I am having the same issue in FL, blizzard said it has something to do with Verizon internet (frontier in my area). I lost 100 SR and got a temp ban on ranked. I have never once left a rank game and now my account has been flagged because of their issue. We should totally be compensated SR or some kind of league tokens/ loot boxes if they aren’t going to give us SR.

Hello there,

We are aware of connectivity issues affecting primarily Verizon FIOS customers in the US and Telstra customers in Australia. If you have a different internet provider, there may be some shared routing that is being affected by the same issue.

This is currently being looked into by our engineers and we will be providing updates in these threads:

*Please note that we will not be able to restore any SR or placement matches in Overwatch that may have been lost due to ISP connectivity issues.

It seems to be mostly happening on the East Coast of America. It seems to be mostly affecting people around Washington, Philadelphia, New York City, and Boston

Thanks for the heads up. Probably the first time I have encountered a negative for switching from Comcast to Verizon since making the switch a year ago. RIP

Answer me this.

As I attempt to reconnect and play games, each time i get disconnected and removed from the game, because of this issue, am I being punished for the leaving the game? You know with the behavioral punishements that are used to address the normal leaver?

I have already been suspened from comp for 30 minutes due to this issue. I’ve now been disconnected from 3 qp games as well and have been unable to reconnect. Am I occuring penalties for each instance? Sure seems so too me. If this indeed the case, then this must be addressed immediately.

Simply pathetic… needing traces… i’m in Australia and 20+ people i know have the same issue… simply fix your garbage… you charge a premium for a service people can’t use… woohoo blizzard…

I’m doing a continous ping to the 24.105.30.129 public address and not seeing any dropped packets, but issue of disconnecting on overwatch remains. sometimes I am getting past the login screen and then disconnecting, other times it will just hang at entering game.

Blizz doesn’t restore SR for these issues because it can be abused by scammers to climb ranks. Kinda sucks but I understand why they do it.

It took my 6-7 times to log into Overwatch this morning. Scoured my email…maybe I was suspended…nope! Tried 3-4x around 930am…no luck…back at noon…again 3-4 times…nothing…stuck on “Entering Game” and eventually it would time-out. Finally I logged in…have no idea why I couldn’t enter game/server…paranoid now about playing Comp since every once in awhile someone loses connection for no reason at all…one time…we had a 6-stack…one of our players got disconnected from game, we were down a man, YET THE DISCONNECTED PLAYER WAS STILL IN VOICE CHAT!!! Definitely a Blizz issue there!

My friends who use Verizon as an ISP all have this problem but my friend with spectrum does not. Maybe this is helpful for you guys to problem solve

I am also unable to get into the menu screen, i login and it says “entering game” for a couple minutes then quits back to login screen. I am playing on the Americas region.

Guys your ISP means SFA… happening to all australians also… = verizon has 0 to do with it /facepalm… it is blizzards mess as usual

Can confirm it’s happening across South India as well, a friend from a city further up north texted. It has to be Blizz tho right? It’s happening in 3 different continents lol
