I am the casual that u speak of and id much rather 6v6. Im sure many of us support it. Id go so far to say i think more casual support 6v6 then 5v5. Which is why your poll supports 5v5. The casual base didnt vote.

I’m sure this has been said before but it just barely won in a poll that was hosted by a creator with a strong 5v5 bias
Let Samito host the same poll and see what the results would be, I can almost guarantee that it would be a 6v6 landslide

People left OW2 massively. OW2 is not nearly popular as OW1 before, yet the remaining playerbase, every second player thinks 6v6 was better, this is an absolute win for 6v6 because it’s not the current form of the game. It’s like if there’s 7 people in your family, 3 of them hate you, that’s massive, my dude. Even all the people who loved 6v6 quit this game, still hardly 50% is advocating for 5v5, and I am 99% sure this 50% is the dps and supports. They advocate for their own comfort.
50% for 5v5 in OW2 times is a massive L for 5v5. Keep coping though.

Lol you know why? Because they removed 5v5 and made it 5.5v5.5. Just another proof how garbage 5v5 was. Your own arguments work against you all the time. If 50% of your game population thinks that a system made in 2016 is better, means your game is a failure.

Kind of funny how Doomers when pointed out how trash the meta was in 6v6 with shields all over the place and ults firing off every 15 seconds they go “they could of fixed it with balance!”.
But when problems in 5v5 are fixed by for instance the S9 patch which nerfed burst healing/burst dmg it’s “see 5v5 was so trash they needed to do things to balance it!”.
Ok, so which is it?
And yeah, they are going to keep iterating and improving on 5v5, which atm is working spectacularly for them.
So get ready for those Steam chart numbers to make you cope even harder than you already are.
That counts for sure but I can assure you, it really is.
You clearly see the same 20-30 names saying the same things over and over and over again, and when you look their profiles and the “problems” they report, its 80% Supps.
IDK if you remember but they made a huge fuss about how they were playing “respawn simulator” on beta and when the numbers came in, they were blatantly lying lol. That argument and the “we dont have peel anymore” was definitely not done by Tanks or DPS

that can be attributed to the fact the game is now free compared to ow1, more people can make more than one account, so its not necessarily true that the population growth is only new players
It’s way harder to make new accounts now that they have phone verification for new accounts. Not impossible, but more hoops you gotta jump through. Plus you gotta go through about 20-25 hours of QP just to go into comp.

The poll you pulled from came from a biased person for 5v5. Of course it teetered toward 5v5. There have been polls that have teetered to 6v6. Either way, in most of these polls, the playerbase is pretty evenly split regardless.
