It doesn’t matter, they won’t do it.
So… what? Are you pretending queue times weren’t a critical issue or do you just enjoy them? I’m not getting your argument
6v6 does not cause excessive queue times
Nothing because the matchmaking will still be forced loss garbage as always.
Bro out here living in the good timeline where the actual OW2 exists
Point at it as the game breaks the same way it always did. Then break down the reason why it’s happening, and why 5v5 keeps that from happening.
While the game then transitions to it’s 4th new format, and everyone complains about the next comp specific counter hero.
I mean… I’d play it, probably? Lol. I played it since January 2017 after all, but if it came back it could never work exactly how it used to anyways so I doubt people would be happy. And if they didn’t fix queue times, I’d quit.
Here’s the thing about 6v6. What do you do about a world where 6v6 Rein has to lose 2 fire strikes amd have the damage nerfed? What about his pin having better steering and being canceled? What about a world where Zarya loses double bubble? Where Doomfist has to exist as a less bulky and less damaging tank? You can’t keep the buffs OW2 tanks got so they have to be nerfed.
How do the 6v6 crowd legitimately think that the current players, most of which are new and have only HAD one super bulky tank, would respond to every tank getting weaker and requiring twice as many people playing them?
If it came back, yeah, I’d play it. I’d also expect it to kill the game faster than anything has before, because at the end of the day you’re stripping power away from people’s mains, again most of whom ONLY know how the tanks work in 2, in exchange for another teammate to rely on. Most players are in RQ QP, not comp and not even Open Queue. You’re asking these people to relearn Overwatch for the sake of a community who largely already left.
A sudden need for double the tank players will undeniably have impacts on wait times.
They could still play 5v5… 6v6 doesn’t have to replace it.
really not sure what this has to do with what I said
i play the game casually so… i will probably continue to play it? its not really that deep 4 me
Hope this is the right move then and it will be successful.
So we can positively continue our journey playing OW.
Finally think that there is hope for blizzard and that they finally began to use their brains again.
I will adapt.
But it’s not like i missed it or anything. The devs wanted to balance the game around 5v5? It was a good decision.
Going back to 6v6 would mean going back to rebalance the game again which will make people complain even more
I’ll adapt to it in the same way I adapted to 5v5 after 6 years of playing 6v6.
Quitting the game over a change in format is honestly foolish, and I don’t see why I should do that.
That being said, I do not think that the developers are going to bring 6v6 back, and I think Aaron Keller’s director’s take will say that and why they’re not bringing it back.
queue times do not qualify as issue
Pretty much. I played 6v6 for 6 years. I’m well aware of it’s up sides as well as it’s down sides. I prefer 5v5. There’s no solutions only trade offs. It baffles me that people pretend like 6v6 didn’t also suffer from intractable issues. I’m ok with someone preferring it because I don’t expect everyone to share my opinion. But I get annoyed when people pretend like it was (or could be) all sunshine and rainbows.
If 5v5 people intend to continue to play anyway, so let’s get back the 6v6 people who went away.
