Gosh, this issue is so complex, as we mentioned before the change to 5v5 was a turning point for the game, I am aware that 6v6 was very balanced, hell it has to be recognized that the balance of the roles was correct in that format, but as I mentioned this also led to DS/Goatsā€¦ and Iā€™m afraid that going back to 6v6 would cause this again.

Now nostalgia aside, do we really want to go back to that? The meta that was created and which had the game at a standstill for almost two years, was practically killing the gameā€¦

to be fair, the metas before those two were not as bad if we dont count brig on release and 5 man rez

How about giving players the choice?

I can still play Unreal Tournament on LAN even to this day.
But Overwatch disappeared.

The solution to bad metas is to make balances changes, not create an entire ā€œsequelā€ and switch it to 5v5.

we are talking about the format itself, i agree that ow1 should not have been deleted, but that has nothing to do with whether the game should be in 5v5 or 6v6

Oh as much as I would love to have both formats available so that it is the player who decidesā€¦ it is not possible and you know, OW does not have such a large player population to allow itself to separate the game into so many modes and formats , the queques would simply make it unplayable.
