<500 must be the realistic average SR

I bought Overwatch (PC) when it first came out. No matter how well I play or how well my teammates play I’m locked into ELO Hell with +/- 500 SR Bronze. I mostly solo cue but the competitive games all feel well above bronze skills. I find it difficult to believe that the stated average SR is realistically in the platinum range. If it were then shouldn’t win streaks in the very bottom most bronze tier be statistically closer to 100% win rates? Not losing 7or8 out of every 10 games in a row?

I sure hope you’re trolling. The alternative isn’t so good for you.

I see you’ve posted over 1,500 posts. Do you, in your infinite wisdom, have an explanation for how or why players in the bottom can be so successful as to pin enemy teams inside their spawn points or snipe with 100% accuracy? In what universe are those players uncoordinated low level noobs?

Gold is actually average.

Spawn camping is a bronze/silver strategy, and easily countered by silver/gold players. The campers have an extremely long run back. Pick off one or two from safety (either a flank or a tank shield) and snowball them back through the point. <500 players don’t understand this and just run into the meat grinder.

<500 players don’t dodge or use cover.

Why would winrates in bronze be close to 100%? That means GM would be closer to 1% which also makes no sense. You’re at that sr because that’s your skill level, someone has to be. This is why you find it difficult to climb and others are better than you.

Well it’s 500 is definitally not that average… gold is The is the most populated rank. And it seems that almost every low rank player “think” they are playing better than the rank you are. Hate to burst your bubble. But to get out of “Elo hell” just get better at the game.

What? It means you’re way below average then. How do you think averages in populations work? If you had a 100% win rate you’d climb disgustingly fast; the fact you are 50/50 down there means you have your best games there. You’re not playing well… like at all contrary to your delusion.

Well some specialist talking? Actually there might be many people who’s rank is completely busted.

Too low or too high, guess why? They are playing with friends who are better or worse.
Some people actually just play with friends and stay stuck with them.

Also some people have no idea how to play this Game. Ranked is basically Russian Roulette.

Literally yesterday I had this Game where my Moira was trying to chase a flanking DVa by herself and stopped healing her team.
We are talking about High Plat to Diamond Game.

Oh as a support Main try to heal your Team when they split hard oh good luck! Especially with Ana. Just RIP. There’s so many Games where Ana and Lucio are literally unplayable.

He said he solo ques. Therefor it’s his skill.

Idk about pc but on console bronze is a cesspool full of trolls and derankers. It’s possible to climb out but it’s gonna be super frustrating if you can’t carry.

His stats check out to be fair. Check his profile. He’s level 109. If what he says about buying the game when it came out is true, he’s probably only played a few days per year. If he doesn’t have a lot of multiplayer and/or FPS experience, I can easily believe that his skills are rusty as a nail in an ocean.

in my advice, dont come her and talk about how there are no miss tracers running around ur games AND torbs that stand still and shoot. u will get gaslighted about how smurfs dont exist. its not enough that a flickshot genji will come in with a pocket and 2v6, then switch off to no hit hanzo for the next push. that hanzo will tell u in chat that he ‘just didnt feel the genji’ for that round. he will switch back tho after u 3 cap, so that he can do it again for ur next push. the fact that there are HUGE discrepancies between skill levels of bronze players means nothing. there are no smurfs.

btw u and i are at the elo we deserve. there is no argument against that. the smurfs dont try to win as hard as they try to kill, and they cant continue to smurf if they are train-rolling every game. u and i are bad. and thats ok. its not ok for smurfs to come and take advantage of that, but the reality is there is no power in getting angry at smurfs. smurfs HAVE to lose or they cant stay at that rank.

You bought ow when it came out, 3 years now? And your level is only 109. You cant be good enough ať this game if you dont play it. So if my math is ± right, you play 8 minutes per day? I counted that your level would be 142 hours to make it.

No such thing as “ELO Hell” The fact is, you’re not good enough.

I started this game in Silver and now float between plat and Diamond depending on when I try hard and what heroes I play.

You simply aren’t good enough fundamentally… What have you actually done to improve? like inside AND outside the game?

I actually believe that elo hell exists. it just isnt a specific rank, its more of a mentality that the players have, so they dont have to look at themselves for improvement.

I mean, smurfs are always a possibility? Also, it’s really not that difficult to hit bronze players. Pretty much all of them move in straight lines…

<500 is the bottom of the barrel. It’s definitely not average lol

but… but… u only see a smurf 1/10,000,000,000,000,000 games and only while the moon is blue shifting to red after 3 or more of the 8 planets have aligned with Alpha Centauri

…Smurfs at an SR that low actually aren’t that common. For the average smurf, you would have to throw 3 games for every 1 win just to stay down there. Throwers are definitely a much more frequent occurrence in <500.

Neither throwers or smurfs are actually enough to keep you stuck in bronze, though.
