Just my guess is that whatever big feature(s) Aaron was referring to in his Gamespot interview could very likely coincide with the big 5th year this coming anniversary event.

It’s Clans I almost guarantee it. It’s the only change that 1) could help OW 1 and set up for OW 2 and 2) not really “take away” from OW 2’s release. If released now they can sort out the bugs with it, etc. before OW 2, and also it will help cement the existing playerbase more.

What are clans? Sorry but I haven’t been paying attention to those
Basically in-game guilds for players. It was accidentally leaked when the last round of OW 2 coverage was going on.
No one wants clans, if they put effort into giving clans and not literally anything else I will be disappointed

Yeah I don’t really see what the benefit of clans is tbh, if I had friends to group with, I’d just group with friends, what would having a clan even do for me?

LOL… “No one wants clans” will be on the first to sign onto one… once people understand that clans with teams that learn how to play with each other against stacks of randos wipes the floor with them everyone will want to be in a Clan…
It promotes teamwork with players you know… I mean, Its a team game…

I think it’s possible it could be cross play. That would have a big impact on queue timers, at least on console.
Maybe they’ll add mouse and keyboard support for consoles too.

Cross play between Xbox and PlayStation is the only thing that is viable.
Xbox and PlayStation have different balancing decisions than PC.

Switch alongside playstation + xbox? Obviously the skill ceiling is low but the serious OW switch players like me don’t have the best experience, we need a higher playerbase for a better feel of the game.

They could give clan rewards. You earn points for your clan and join a clan ranking. They could give clans their own personal Icon/Skin similar to OWL teams.
They could make it so that the match maker automatically prefers to match you with Clan mates rather than randoms. etc.
