I have 350+ ping in every game tonight, usually have around 100. I live in Jamaica but even invited a friend (America) to my training lobby and they got unusually high ping
Is there some server i’m connecting to that is down or something?

Can you run a traceroute to the Los Angeles and one to the Chicago server IPs listed on the WinMTR page? This sounds like an ISP routing issue.
Yes just tested it on regular games. Its the same IP it’s using. This is a brand new thing as of today

On second thought, I think there’s enough info here to figure out what’s happening. The Telia nodes are responding incredibly slow. 90ms and then 327ms on their nodes. The game client thinks you’ll be lagging even more on the US servers, so you’re being re-routed to South America. You’re going to want to pass this info on to Telia. The test should help, but a pure traceroute is probably what they want to see.
Thanks for the traceroute. Suspicions confirmed. You can see 137.221.68.32 is the last node owned by Blizzard in the route, and when it gets handed off to Telia’s network, the nodes start showing heavy lag reaching almost 300ms within 2 hops.
In the meantime, an alternative connection like a hotspot, or even a free VPN, should remedy the lag and put you back on US servers. This will also be solid proof that you’re having an issue with your ISP.

I missed this in your earlier test that you’re using AtlanticBB. In short, they use Telia’s routing services for their network. So alert them of the issue since they will have to work it out with the company they pay for routing.
What exactly do I tell the tech? Calling them now.
