I might be gold at best. If I had to fight your widows, my opinion might be different. I both like and dislike dueling widows. It’s more of an obligation. Like you said, she is the counter. 
As the widow, what else can I do? I’m already expected to duel the widow, already playing her counter. I wish there wasn’t a widow, so I can focus on the tank. But if I don’t duel the widow, or if I fail, she shoots my team. 5 people get mad at me because I didn’t do my job.
I’m only trying to help. As widow, killing the widow is something I can do. Hopefully.
Not for the first time, I’ve pondered a hypothetical rework for Widow. The problem with making widow more like Ashe is Ashe already exists.
And in many ways, Ashe is better than widow. I can’t see Widow having a better grenade than the dynamite. Make her more contestable by decreasing her range? More like Hanzo?
But then, what would be the point of trying to make those long shots?
I’m not a very good widow, honestly. I play at midrange anyway because I play widow like I deathmatch. I feel very contestable. My experience is colored by that.
