1080p competitive settings - 10900k vs 10600k

Unless you got money to burn you don’t need these new CPU’s to max your fps that you won’t be seeing anyways!

This purchase don’t make sense unless you are going for this on a 244hz monitor. But you didn’t clarify, Only 1080 rez and I can max my fps at 300 w/ my good ole 6700k that is not overclocked btw!

OW is not a demanding game.

Unless you plan on streaming and gaming (even then you don’t need this) save your money.

Yeah I’ve got 240hz (244hz doesn’t exist) but I did end up swapping the 10600k with a 10700k and there was a minor but noticeable difference. I do not drop below 295FPS in heavy team fights. This could be purely speculation but thinks also feel slightly smoother. Less screen tearing when uncapped at 300 FPS. My guess is the 1% lows are better with a 10700k

its the extra cores and cache the new 10700k is pretty much just a slightly better i9 9900k you will get same fps as the i5 would but you can just do more on your PC now while maintaining the 300fps its problem i had with the i5 because overwatch does use all 6 cores but its worth the extra £100 if you are wanting to stream
