I don’t mind people buying cosmetics. I do it as well when I really like some (without going too overboard as I already support Overwatch a lot - money wise).
However, someone typing “I don’t play the game anymore 'cause it’s boring, I don’t like the new game mode but if Street Fighter cosmetics were cheaper, I would”… The “reasoning” simply doesn’t make sense.
Do cosmetics hide some new game content I am not aware of, or something ?
…
Cosmetics =/= content.
New content = new heroes, new game modes, new maps, new gameplay.
Well, caring less about a 9-year old game that doesn’t have much interesting content and that doesn’t want to release a brand-new sequel, is completely understandable.
The issue is people thinking new cosmetics would somehow “renew” their game experience in Overwatch, which doesn’t make sense at all.
Wasting money on something we don’t enjoy anymore is concerning. Are we zombies or people… ? FOMO addiction is really concerning and will become a huge problem in our society (if it’s not already the case).
