Unless that main damage dealer would perform worse on the hero that counters pharmacy than they would on Junkrat. Doesn’t matter what counters the issue if the person doesn’t do well on said counter.
And so now we are faced with someone who can’t flex to something that can’t hold their own weight better which is why one tricking is so bad and why everything you said demonstrates why it has to be dealt with on a more serious level
1 tricking isnt reportable but playing into your hard counters and not switching goes against the spirit of the game and is selfish. Ever since lfg came out this hasnt been an issue for me than thankfully. Nothing worse than getting someone like that on your team
Hard counters existing at all completely goes against the spirit of the game as well.
Just saiyan. Don’t see anyone calling out blizzard on how hypocritical it is for them to exist, which in turn makes something ‘being against the spirit of the game’ not a solid claim.
You kinda do need two hitscan to counter Pharah + Mercy. Either that, or one hitscan plus a tank who devotes himself or herself solely to shielding the hitscan, or one hitscan plus his or her own pocket healer. Even the best Soldier or McCree can’t finish off a Mercy-backed Pharah alone before dying himself from the rockets exploding in his face.
You cannot report someone for refusing to play hitscan. I can’t play hitscan because I am too old and my eyesight is too poor. If I was on Widow and a half decent Pharah completely ignored me the entire game, I likely could never do more than a random body shot now and then.
Junkrat is a very useful character in this meta. He’s not as good as Hanzo but in general McCree isn’t very good and should have switched to Widow if he’s good at her. There’s always blame to go around when you’re losing.
Well I only report 1 tricks because it seems that blizzard are actually intrested in banning 1 tricks, surely if the system was abused so hard against 1 tricks then
they would have fixed that.
“The McCree is just one player” is not a valid excuse.
If Pharmercy is a thing, then your Mercy needs to pocket the hitscan(s). The issue here is that playing Mercy and trying this tactic a lot, I’ve come to realize many are just terrible Mccrees. People resort to blaming Pharmercy to being too strong, when in reality the hitscan on your team might just be bad. I’ve run across a few Mccrees or Widows that deal with Pharmercy with little or no intervention from me at all, but more often I Rez a McCree and pocket him just to watch him get obliterated again while missing every shot. Since Mercy gets a tick anytime someone she’s attached to gets a tick, it’s easy to tell on your team who’s worth pocketing.
If your hitscan isn’t cutting it, they are the one that needs to switch, but it’s rare people swallow their pride in this situation.
