do you remember the date that the protests started? not a good point

Answer my question, yes or no.

it’s not a relevant question since I haven’t bought any furtnite since sunday march 31 of 2019… sure it says China but that was obviously before even I knew this was going on. you realize these protests are real and the government is doing this to people , right? furniture has no real need for this convo

Pretty much, as doing that while owning a device capable of playing Overwatch is literally impossible.

Then you also have supported china and thus cannot make the statement that you made. Thank you.

Ijs, but China and the increasing power they hold over American companies is very much an American problem.

Why are you telling people to boycott Blizzard, on a forum for a game from Blizzard? It’s like telling the bees inside a beehive to stop eating honey.

Dude. I’m gonna eat the honey. Also you’re guaranteed to get stung here.

oh im not saying anything about whether you should or not. it explicity states do whatever you want, personally i will be boycotting. sorry for any misunderstandings bro

And you seem to not have any counter argument to it, directly falling back to a line such as that. It is good seeing how quite hypocritical you are, if you really cared, remove everything in your home made in China. You can’t say ”Oh but that was before I knew” That doesn’t matter. Now have a good day sir.

…but it literally says… okay listen. if I bought something of furtniture before the protests started (sunday march 31), then how would i even concevibly know that the protests were going on. i mean they literally weren’t happening, so i would have no idea. and im not falling into a back line, it’s just very odd the arguments you’re bringing up, they don’t make sense from a normal perspective. i’ve also already said that i haven’t bought chinese furniture afterwards either

China makes everything. Everything. Even things that don’t say “Made in China” probably have some part in it that was made in China.

:sunglasses: People who think boycotting blizzard will make China free HK. But they sit at home behind their PC protesting by “boycotting” a company that has 0 control over the Chinese governments decisions lmao.

that’s cool man. im just saying that im not supporting them verbally or in any physical way i can. buying items from the us. exclusively, donating to hong kong protestors, that’s what im doing. i can’t undo previous purchases that have already fufilled their purpose, but i can remedy situations now. im just trying to bring light to a situation and people don’t like that apparently (not you specifically, you’re bringing up good points)

You still gave your money to China, and they suddenly didn’t do all these bad acts people are saying they do after Sunday 31st of March, it has probably been going on for a while which means you literally gave money to China, and thus, according to your logic, now support them. Or well, rather have supported them indirectly. Now, have a good day sir.

where is the logic where i support them. i support the protestors, and you’re going off of a false claim that it was happening before then, don’t do that.

Let me tell you a little about China, as you probably don’t know much overall.

China is one of the largest and growing economies of the world. China exports large quantities of electronics, construction materials, finished parts for assembly, clothing, glasses, and about a hundred thousand other things we use every day.

China has been a bustling economy since the earliest forms of the Roman empire, and there is even a large historic chunk of matching data in ancient Chinese history that supports DIRECT trade with Rome.

The recent Chinese government was a monarchy until it converted to a democracy, and then shortly later Mao took over and converted it to communist socialism. Communist socialism and US free trade values do not align. This is essentially the doubethink paradox that trading with a society like China presents.

We have been trading with China since the 90s.

…you realize no one single person can bring down an action of a nation right. the whole stop supporting blizzard thing is because they openly support china and their actions (refer to hearthstone tweet on blitzchong’s actions in chinese), and voicing my extreme dislike and along with many others can hopefully sever support to china, and at least help the protestors in some small, significant way.
