You asked about the Reporting System in HoTS

Please add a feature to the reporting system that prevents matchmaking with reported player for 1 hour. At least I won’t get wombo combo’d for my whole HoTS experience that day.

That would allow for match fixing by people filing false reports.

Why do people capitalize the T so often? Surely it would be HotS or HOTS, but I see HoTS all the time. It’s not Heroes of The Storm. That just looks wrong.

well, idk, is it Storm or The Storm?

It’s Heroes of the Storm, with a lowercase T. You don’t capitalize The.

??? how? That you wouldn’t have to play with people you don’t want to play with? That matchmaking wouldn’t be able to throw you same AFK potatoes 5x in row?

You would report the “bad” players on both your team and the enemy team to rig your match. People might also grief you by reporting you so that you are unable to find matches due to none being available that comply with the restriction.

I think a compromise solution would be a “do not immediately rematch with this player” button at the end stats screen. This only applies to the next match made within the the next hour and only for your teammates from that match. This would function similar to what people do already where they wait a few minutes after matches to avoid being rematched with the same people but more reliably. The restrictions are also strict and temporary enough that it will not cause long-term damage to the matching system. It should also be sufficient in most cases to reduce how annoyed people get so should overall improve the social experience.

Blizzard has no desire in changing, or fixing any of this. There are so many simple things that could’ve been done to help this game AGES ago. tribunals like LoL used to have. Actually banning bots, auto detection for cheating like most game devs do.

Even though people don’t care enough to do it, fixing the FoW issue by actually addressing the game engine. They do NOT care…game makes them barely anything and they’re not into serving / servicing fanbase.
