Targeted bans rarely happen. Even at higher levels. You guys are blowing this crap way out of proportions.

Know someone in the top .1% of players in LoL who was a one trick and hed get his champion banned once out of every 20 or so games if that.

And his solution? Learn a 2nd champion (i know gasp completely revolutionary)

Flash back to S1 where enemy names were shown. A couple of guys on our team bragged about being awesome with cho’gall, and their recent history proved a bunch of wins. ok, we’ll let them chogall.

Someone dodges, requeue, teams are reformed, they’re on the enemy team this time. Ban cho.

edit: blocking player names was a good thing.

Supposedly the word circulating around is this is a bug. I haven’t seen ANY confirmation and really eagerly await an official response.

I played a few matches to see how it turns out with the reverted ban phase.
Yup, my main was banned out like 5 times, had to play other assassin.
Still won them matches :smiley:

Blind bans takes a layer of player meta-knowledge off the table and make bans a crap shoot anyway. One-tricks shouldn’t be able to skate by with such a lack of game knowledge anyway.

It’s an intended change it was even mentioned on an AMA. What’s wrong with target banning? It’s bettee then the generic bans we see every game

And not every grandmaster is a OTP, and even most OTPs have a 2nd champion they qre good at. Especially at the GM level.

You can only see the name, so it’s no huge deal darling. These people are one trick drama queens.

Im OTP gazlowe pretty much and I don’t mind this. Targetting bans is a sign of respect.

(also I dont have to play vs one trick samuros anymore!)
