WARNING: RANK MODE WILL BE CHAOTIC AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON
It will be like this:


Some people suggest waiting for 2 weeks. I usually wait for a month before playing rank mode.

Why do you have the “at beginning of the season” part in your topic? It seems something extra and would mean to imply it’s only in the beginning… :smile:

Ranked is always kinda bad at the start/end of the season because a lot of players who only want to do placements start playing to get the rewards. Hopefully it stops happening soon when Blizzard introduces the new rewards where it forces people to play during all season and be good.

Is´nt there a preseason first to test the new changes? Do´nt play ranked so i´m a bit confused here.

Yes, Blizzard is doing a preseason to test the new Storm queue. It will be short by comparison to the actual Season 1 which will launch after.

Rank season at the beginning and at end is usually chaotic. Lots of players trying to get in to get their placements in before StormLeague I suspect. Last chance to rank your highest before the change.

whatever change happens will be good, most of my friend list has not touched ranked since beginning of the year, resorted to spamming ARAM mostly since it became the only brawl choice

Pretty sure the next season is going to be a pre season to let them evalueate and adjust the system using “real games” PTR not populated enough for this. So my advice is don’t sweat rank during preseason get in there and play.
