Version Mismatch

When I try to launch Heroes of the Storm I get an error message called “Version Mismatch” with the description below.

Game client version mismatch with selected region. You may be able to continue playing if you exit the client, patch from the launcher, and restart.

I have tried the suggested solution in the error message with no help. I have never switched regions; and the game was working fine yesterday evening.

I am also having this problem. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, checking for updates, restarting the blizzard app.
Says I’m running version 2.48.2.76753

Hey y’all,

This is usually fixed by repairing HotS, restarting the app and/or the computer, but if this persists I would suggest reinstalling the Blizzard app:

  1. Uninstall the Blizzard app
  2. Next open the temp locations and delete any Battlenet and Blizzard folders you see in each location. Press Windows Key + R and type:
    • %LOCALAPPDATA%
    • %APPDATA%
    • %TEMP%
    • %PROGRAMDATA%
  3. Finally go ahead and reinstall the app from here. Make sure you run as Admin.

Security software can also cause conflicts by blocking the new update.
