Orc: LOTS OF EM
Human: LOTS OF EM
Nelf: LOTS OF EM
Undead: Sylvanas, the queen
Blood elf: Kael’Thas, former king
Dwarf: Muradin and birdmaster Muradin
Worgen: Greymane, but to be fair, is the only relevant one
Goblin: Gazlowe, doing Gazlowe things
Draenei: Yrel just got here, and she feels lonely
Gnome: …Chromie doesn’t count.
Pandaren: We actually have 2 pandas, would you look at that.
Troll: just that one from a long forgotten empire
Tauren: just a made up rockstar
We already stated several times that we need more race diversity in the WoW hero department. So far, we have a lot of orcs and elves, but why are Zuljin and ETC (who isn’t even a real character) the only troll and tauren representatives? And it’s not like we don’t have where to chose from…
I love Warcraft lore. And it’s almost unacceptable that a race with so many different clans and history, like trolls, only have one amani to show. Where are the Darkspear? Where are the Zandalari? Vol’Jin, Rokhan, even princess Talanji would make great additions to the HotS roster.
And taurens… Oh boy, the poor tauren. Instead of giving us the mighty Cairne or Baine, we have ETC. Not even a generic tauren druid, just… ETC. Don’t get me wrong, I love him, but he doesn’t represent the tauren race at all.
I think it’s time we adress these areas, isn’t it? The Horde is big and diverse and we could use at least one leader for each race.
I speak for myself as a old school Horde player, but I think gnome, draenei or goblin fans will think the same way. Chromie is a dragonflight, and Gazlowe is… well… just Gazlowe. Yrel is good for a start, I guess.
The problem is Diablo or Starcraft fans will say that there are enough WoW heroes for now, and they would be right. Too bad we wasted so many good WoW spots. I really look forward to seeing Cairne and Voljin, our gone heroes, to come back in HotS and be immortalized within the Nexus.
