Toxic Leaver Coincidence? Bug?

Just here to say that Blizzard’s technical team has always been superb since 2004. Unbelievable programming with world class server stability.

However, in HotS i have a “oops, disconnected at hero draft” bug that happens 1 in every 15’ish matches. This gives me leaver (which counts as 3 losses) and marks my account as ‘toxic’, and puts me in a category where i play with other ‘toxic leavers’.

I do not appreciate this at all and I am sad to say that with the current reporting system fiasco, I am conspiratorially leaning toward the idea that this isn’t a random bug. I’ll let you all decide what that means.

I am not happy at all and I want to share that on these forums. Thanks for giving me the platform to do that. HotS is a great game and I’m a huge fan. This makes me very upset and sad. Bye all and thanks <3

Howdy!

Can you try to capture this issue with a WinMTR running in the background. I know this issue appears to be random for you but around the 13th game start running that application to see if we can capture the disconnect. The goal is to keep the WinMTR running for 10-15 minutes. Then use the copy text to clipboard button and paste the results back here for review.

Thank you!

I have done that 2 times on these forums with no solution. I was told I need to go play another game or get a direct connect. I have no issues in-game after hero select and my internet is 5/5 bars. But here:

I’m noticing 2 things going on here.

The first being packet loss which is the primary cause of disconnect errors. This is indicated by the test ending with less data than it started with (726 packets down from 742 when leaving the home network)

The second would be the ISP blocking test data, so we can’t actually see where the data is being lost. My advice on that front would be to contact them since we can’t see anything on this test other than the home network and our peer network.

Hope this info helps. If there’s anything else you might need just let us know.
