They finally made Bunny Hop good by decreasing that darn 100 second cooldown, now my question is how good are Micro Missiles?
I tried using them on PTR but you know, VS AI doesnt really give the best results, so until this rework goes to the live servers, I want to know what you guys think of the Micro Missiles so far?
They are both pretty underwhelming ults- honestly bunny hop feels like you’re nerfing yourself for a few seconds, and micro missiles are better for pushing lanes/towers n’ stuff then actual fighting enemies
Not sure. It does give her some ranged poke and slow utility though. Having something like that to poke with while low on health or healing back up could be useful. Personally I’m really excited for bunny hop. The ult is just plain better now.
I feel like 80 seconds is still too long CD for Bunny Hop, should be more like 60. As it is, micro-missiles is probably better as it does contribute to quite a bit of extra damage on a short CD, so it’s more like an extra basic ability than a heroic (which is fine since the self-destruct is basically a heroic already anyways).
Bunny Hop will be decent on point guard maps, which is already D.Va’s strong suit. D.Va has the mobility to realistically threaten two stuns in an AoE, or at least provide a tonne of area denial.
I’m not sold on Micro Missiles yet. I’m not really sure what they’re for.
It seems to me that micro missiles are more damage to the bruiser build, which is great as that’s the build I like playing D.Va for and it’s lot more viable now thanks to her increased damage across the board.
I like the Micro Missiles, they are underwhelming but as an extra tool they are pretty useful. They have superior range and can also do decent damage against a locked down target. I just really wish the attack wouldn’t take so long.
As for Bunny Hop, I’m disappointed. The original ult was pretty good all things considered. The only reason it was under picked because Big Shot was your most reliable way to get the Mech back fast. I don’t mind the change to the basic ult. Mini stuns are more scary than a slow but doing so combined with all the drawbacks (10% slower movement than before, less AoE) this makes her ult very easy to avoid compared to before. Not like it was every amazing at keeping people in it without CC but now it literally only works as area denial.
As for the Stop&Pop rework… where should I begin?
It was a borderline OP talent even for level 20. You outputted mage tier damage if people weren’t quick to evade you. And contrary to the popular belief you could move fairly reasonably and still proc the 300% damage. Now? It promotes an outright terrible playstyle which will only be useful in lower leagues. Suspending the channel duration sounds neat but the problem is that it resumes the moment you move. If this function would be like adding 0.5 seconds to the channel duration if you land while stationary (so same effect but you can move between impacts) it’d be actually pretty fun to use. The way it is now? Just plain terrible. And again, you sacrificed D.va’s 3000+ damage ult potential for just this. My disappointment is immeasurable. I’ll never pick this level 20 upgrade again when pre-rework it happened to be a must pick for Bunny Hop build.
Just…terrible.
it’s nice to actually get an ult choice though XD
i’ve always considered Bigshot to be absolutely mandatory to get you back in the fight when your mech is destroyed, so getting bigshot as a baseline skill is amazing.
as for the heroics, Micro missiles do seem pretty darn weak, even though the CD is low they still seem pretty pittiful.
bunnyhop doesn’t seem as good as it used to be, i much preferred it having higher damage (and the 20 being really big dmg while stationary)
but overall i’m happy, because its pretty much a free ulty since i’d just be taking Bigshot, so i can’t really complain about getting another ult for free! XD
I for one as a StarCraft player would care.
But this rework is (just by reading the patch notes) a big nerf!
I’m not liking this, it may be worse than Tassadar’s rework, specially in the sense that it will effectively be a completely redesigned hero, with a completely different gameplay that is not just too different from the way it was before, but that also means a new learning curve and hopefully if they manage to do a decent job, still an enjoyable hero to play, but just like Tassadar we will loose a gameplay style, and I liked D.Va. I suppose all I can do is hope she will still be fun to play with. I haven’t played with Tassadar again.
