That’s the best way to play a hero when you only want to smash things for relieving stress purposes!
it is in fact the only way I can play sonya
Troubled, I have a little question I think you might be able to answer. I’ve been playing a few games in Co-op AI recently, and in one of them I got told off for “ending the game too soon.”
What is the average sweet spot for AI match duration?
Never been a fan of “Shattered ground” You need the planets to allign to get value out of it.
I find it more reliable than the whirlwind purely because I can change what I’m doing at a moment’s notice.
What do you mean?
Chars.
I’ve honestly never been in a situation where someone was grumpy a game was too short. While I have been disgruntled in getting on maps that are generally not long such as Braxis Hold, I have never voiced it. I will just lollygag in a single lane or rotate around as opposed to blowing lanes up if that ever is the case.
That might have been why they were upset is that their daily boost got burnt. Towers of Doom is pretty much a throwaway map for the daily bonus against A.I. So if that was the map you were on they may as well have not said anything as it requires your team to play really bad against Elite A.I for that map to last long enough to get sufficient experience.
I am personally content with matches lasting anywhere from 10-12 minutes on Sylvanas as that is normal for me which by that time level 16 talents are usually unlocked. By the fifteen minute mark on her storm talents are unlocked and have begun being used. Being that I normally have an xp pot those matches give anywhere from 100k to 120k experience. Matches that approach the twenty minute mark give extra thicc experience near the 200k mark or higher if I am playing solo with teammates.
When I play as Sylvanas forts start to fall around the 4-5 minute mark if everyone is playing well and the bots are on adept difficulty, and depending on the map.
It’s a different kettle of fish if the difficulty goes up, as the A.I will not tolerate as much tomfoolery as Adept A.I and will be more aggressive at contesting certain objectives. Those games if teammates are not playing well 15+ minute matches are not uncommon for me, especially if I am not on Sylvanas who I would be able to offset teammate shenanigans.
Off Sylvanas I get noticeably longer matches than otherwise. I would say getting to level 20 is pretty much guaranteed when I am not playing our resident Banshee Queen, but it really boils down to teammates, bot composition, map, and A.I. setting.
Hope my response answers that question. I am probably the worst person to ask as I am content with any game length so long as I am having fun.
well with whirlwind you can either move orstand still
when going slam bam sonya you can spear, slam, AA, use Ult or go whirlwind
You always have that option with either build.
The main value of “Hurricane” Lvl 4. is that it removes slows and roots. Which helps a lot as Sonya has no escape. (Only a talent with that name )
I don’t always take it though. S. Ground can be useful on Braxis.
Ah-Ah-Ah-Ha
anyway
valid reasoning
I think we have fall into the “it depends” pit with this discussion
had this match where the enemy was artanis, medivh, samuro, xul, and zagara who kept showing off their 100 taunts when we had ai bots from players leaving, and they dragged the match as long as possible and they struggled against bots. Was kinda of funny, never could out match my damage as Orphea in dragon shrine
It did, thank you for the considered and detailed reply. The match was on Brexit Holdout, which even in PVP games, this map has the potential to snowball.
I was playing Probius and without meaning to, I ended the match with the first Zerg Wave. It was only 2 players (grouped) who grumbled about the truncated match duration.
In future matches, I’ll make sure to keep the length to 10 - 14 minutes.
As an aside, your enthusiasm for vs AI, has rubbed off on me. I’ll probably never enjoy this mode more than PVP games, but I love that I can play heroes there that I would never touch in PVP games, because, well, I suck with them. So that has been fun.
It’s a good game mode to kick back, relax, and fool around in. Also you can try builds that are not meta and would not work on a team of skilled players.
Unless you try playing heroes that rely on AoE such as Kael’thas or Jaina. Above recruit they are very good at dodging such abilities. It can take a surprising amount of skill to play against the bots effectively with such heroes.
I am the exact opposite of you. I burned myself out in PvP a long time ago. I used to play competively local but eventually the anxiety, stress, and some other factors pushed me towards quitting. Some of my old competitiveness bleeds over against bots.
Enemy team has Butcher and Fenix as DPS. So obviously I’m going mass blind. Their Xul went Full AA build. Thanks for a GG
Nothing special, just sending bots into orbit on KT. Always gets a giggle out of me. I will say that the Mephisto was a champ as me and him contested the second to last seed as no one else wished to help us.
I like how the Imperius is like: Hey, I wanna get rooted too!
He just followed the crowd and died together with then.
I had some help from the Garden Terror’s shockwave. They mashed them up real good before I put them on ice.
Went as 5man with friends against other 5man in EU and those were one of the best games I’ve had in a while, even the losing ones. I really wish hots is able to go back to solo and team queues again someday, if anything it’ll at least give teams interesting games, and help balance the solo player games too.
I noticed a few people going for mercenaries camps on Shrines to then write “Just went merc queen if anyone wants to keep taking camps.”
five minutes later
The merc camps marching down the lanes:
I was honestly having way too much doing nothing more than being the moral support
elf for the mercenaries.
