A tale of QM, with pictures.
Some times when things look the darkest, the random people in QM come through in a big way. The game was on Sky Temple, and very close and we had a couple of good players on our team, and a rather questionable Leerooy Jen-, I mean, Deathwing. He was trying, so there was no point in picking on him, he just liked to Cataclysm into their buildings, and land on the enemy Leo/Zul’jin with an Abby hat.
After level 20, we made a few mistakes and lost our Xul and Deathwing (again), and the enemy team took full advantage to cap the bottom boss as well as both Siege Giant camps. I went forth to defend as best I could, trusting my team to follow up and join me. It started off well enough, I could see my team was back up and moving in, when disaster struck in the form of a well-timed Buried Alive. I had just used Q, so there was no way to dodge it.
An Abby-hatted Leo and Zul’jin, a monstrous wave of mercs and minions, and my only hope was to right-click and trust my shields and my team. It was very much a “My life for Aiur…” moment. And then, my trust was rewarded.
That was one of the few times our Deathwing got away with landing in the middle of them. We drove them off, cleared push, and in the meantime, our Tracer made a spectacular play on the enemy Lunara on the mid temple, blinking past the enemy Stukov to secure a kill, and a perfect Recall to safety.
That was all we needed to swing the momentum, directly leading to our win.
