Howdy!

It seem your testing was not able to leave the network, it’s possible your ISP has this type of testing blocked. I would first recommend to start with the following 3 steps to troubleshoot this issue:

  1. Power Cycle your home network’s router and modem.

  2. Once the system is back online flush your DSN cache using the commands Here.

  3. If you are using Wifi try testing the game on a wired connection. If the issue is resolved this is a sign the wifi is unstable and your ISP maybe able to assist you if you contact them.

If the issue continued on a wired connection, try to capture the problem with a LookingGlass report and post the results back here for review:

LookingGlass: Shows your connection from us to your computer.
Goto: http://us-looking-glass.battle.net/
Select the Region: Region you play in
Select the Service: Heroes of the Storm
Select the tests: All of them
→ Run Test → Use the copy button and paste the results back here for review.

Thank you.

Hi, I am using wired connection and have tried to flush my DNS and restarting my modem.
I still have the same spike issue.

you seem to be getting ‘no response’ after your first hops and no response on your lookingglass results. likely you are not pingable.

you should look in your router settings for ICMP or Ping. to allow it. you can turn it off after doing testing.

for instance, on my Trendnet router it is under Advanced Networking and called “Wan Ping Response”. it is described like this, which basically means it will respond to trace and MTR tests. it typically is disabled by default because it can be abused maliciously. so if you arent doing a test you want to keep it off just in case.

If you enable this feature, the WAN port of your router will respond to ping requests from the Internet that are sent to the WAN IP address.

different manufacturers may call it something else and put it in other places.
